I highly recommend this pedal. It's user-friendly, good looking, solid as a brick, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do... For the money, what else could you ask for?
I had the PT-10 for close to a decade and never had any issues with it. But one night I had a few too many celebratory aftershow drinks and left it at the club never to see it again.

I bought the PT-100 as a replacement and so far have loved it even more than my trusty old PT-10. The silent tuning output is great for quick tune ups between songs during shows. It's cool to also have the ability to have it on with the signal still travelling through... nice light show while you play.

I especially love the marker lights showing you how far away you are from being in key. I occasionally play for hip-hop / electronic groups. They speed up the songs they sample now and then, necessitating wierd tunings somewhere between standard and 1/2 step up. With the marker dots, I simply aim 3 away from center, and boom, I'm ready to rock.

I've yet to use the display showing what key I'm in, but once I get the urge to start working in open tunings, etc, I know I'll love it.
This thing is solid. So solid that it's almost weapons grade. You could use it to defend yourself against wave after wave of groupies, and it'd still be working perfectly the next night.
There are far more expensive tuners out there, and I hear great things, but this guy is solid, and relatively inexpensive. Plus, it's a fender, so it looks good.

So I bought this almost a year ago because I really needed a tuner pedal and I was on a budget. I needed a tuner pedal because of the complaints of my band members tired of hearing a guitar being tuned during shows and practices. I wanted to buy a higher end pedal but I didn't have the cash, then I saw this and thought, "sweet a Fender tuner pedal that doesn't cost a lot!" I was happy until I plugged it in. When I stomped on this thing to get a "quiet" mode of tuning everybody began to hear a buzz. It is such a ridiculous buzz that now every time I turn it on in "quiet" mode it is reminiscent of a bad cover version of the intro to Rush's "Tom Sawyer." On top of that after three shows (and while I was playing the third show) the jack for this "quiet" mode was weirdly busted for no apparent reason. Now it doesn't even work when using this output jack. Now it's back to the point where everybody in my band and in the crowd hears the guitar tuning. If you're worried about keeping things quiet when tuning don't waste your money on this and get a more reliable higher end tuner pedal.

Fender put their name on this? Really?

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed that Fender would put their name on such a worthless product!

Nice big letters and bright LEDs are great, but I need a tuner that actually functions.

My first problem was that I had to step on it at least two times to turn it on or off and had to use most of my weight to do so.
Secondly, it takes several seconds for it to pick up the note, especially the lower strings. No time for that between songs!
Now, after only my 8th gig with this tuner, the "Out 1" jack doesn't work at all and the input jack is cutting out every time I move my cable!

I should have bought the BOSS TC-U in the first place; it's a MUCH better product!

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

Got this on sale for [$], and at that price it beats all the other tuners in the price range. Seems fairly accurate, has good visibility, and the muted output for silent tuning is nice. You wouldn't think accuracy would be an issue, but I recently bought a different brand tuner in the under $20.00 price range that is no more accurate than tuning by ear.

Best tuner pedal for the money

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

I bought this tuner mainly driven by the price, but couldn't be more pleased. It's well built and very responsive and as stated previously, the indicator lights work great, indoors or out, day or night.
As with most tuner pedals, there's not much in the way of features; you plug in your guitar and the lights indicate sharp or flat until you get it tuned. However, the optional output for silent tuning is nice, and the light display is bright enough for daytime use, and is easily visible on the darkest of stages.
                    Very solidy built, flawless operation.
Considering that most pedal tuners are $$$ this is a bargain at literally half the price!

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

I gigged with one of these pedals regularly for about 5 years. It has been thrown in bags, dropped, kicked, and abused in every way. It just recently quit working for me and I bought another one just like it. For the price it survived very well. It can be seen easily on outdoor stages in the daytime and at night is very easily seen. I like that it mutes my signal as I tune or I can push it to unplug my instrument so it doesn't pop. The readout is simple. When it's red it's in tune. I've also played in bands that tuned down a half step and it was just as easy to use as tuning in standard. I would definitely suggest this pedal to anyone needing a good solid pedal.

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

I bought this pedal tuner to use at church, especially for worship practice, which usually has to stop completely when I need to tune. I just got it today, and brought it home, put a battery in it, hit the switch, and nothing happened. After some investigation I figured out that this pedal is made to where it won't turn on unless there is a cable plugged into the input. Nice battery-saving feature, but the problem is, there is NO MENTION of this in the user manual. After I figured that out, it was smooth sailing. I haven't had the chance to actually use it at church yet, but I don't forsee any major problems.
Simple to use and it does what Fender says it's supposed to do. The bright LED's are definately a plus.
Overall this seems to be a sturdy, well-built unit. I can't say it's perfect, though, because of the plastic foot switch. The battery compartment could be designed better, too.
Pretty good value for what I paid for it!

If you can afford a better tuner pedal I say go for that one. This is more trouble than it's worth.
Nice Bright LED lights which makes it easy to see in the dark. Letters are clear.
I have to stomp on it a couple times to get it to shut off. It takes a while to recognize the note being played, especially when drop tuning. However I use this for my bass so that may contribute to the problem.
Good tuner pedal for the money.

                    Great for Gigs

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

Best buy for the money and it works.
I have owned this tuner for 7 years and have used it for playing gigs ( 2 a month) for the entire time I have owned it. I have never had any issues with it and have no intentions of replacing it. It works perfectly and is still in one piece. I do not abuse my equipment but I do use it. This tuner has stood up to 7 years of gigging and still works and looks as good as the day I bought it. I highly recommend it.
                    No issues
Works as good as any and priced way below

I have been using a plug in tuner for years and it worked for me, but after I bought this inline tuner I didn't know what I'd been missing out on. This tuner is quick to display the note. You can slide up the neck on the guitar and it will catch nearly every note. You can even use it while you play and see the notes you are playing. Great tuner and great price. Very satisfied! Good job on this one fender.

Comments about Fender PT-100 Pedal Tuner:

This is a great value for the money. I have at least 6 different tuners and this is by far my favorite.
You have two different jacks to plug into, one that allows the sound of the guitar to continue while you have the tuner on, the other allows you to tune quietly. Does exactly what you want a tuner to do at half the price of some of the other brands. The lights are really easy to see in ANY light. Very bright.
Seems to be built pretty solid. Bought mine used in good condition and have been using it for a few months now with no problems. Sometimes, it doesn't want to pick up the tune on the high E string on the first stroke, but overall nice.
You can waste your money on some really cheap tuners or give away your money on some that are really expensive. Ultimately, you should buy this pedal as it is priced right and solid as a rock.
