Enormous classic Fender sound from an innovative amp with dual-channel design.
One of the most powerful and versatile bass amps Fender has ever created, the Super Bassman is a stadium-level 300-watt tube head designed for the biggest shows and the largest stages, with enormous Fender bass sound and sparkling vintage Fender looks. Perfect for stage and studio alike, its dual-channel design uses modern technology to maximize classic technology, with classic Fender late-’60s/early-’70s blonde/oxblood styling and a wealth of innovative features on the front and rear panels.
Features include a tube preamp (two 12AX7s) and power amp (one 12AX7, one 12AT7, six 6550s); Vintage channel that delivers the full, warm sound of a classic Fender passive tone stack; Overdrive channel that delivers the aggressive and responsive sound of a modern active tone stack (choose between channels with included footswitch); rear-panel Fender Automatic Bias system that constantly monitors and re-biases tubes for perfect performance and alerts you when service is required; Speaker Output switch that can be set to “Mute” to turn speaker off and record silently using preamp tone from the XLR output; Impedance switch (8, 4 or 2 ohms) and master volume control with push/pull mute.
From the studio to the stage, this amp's got you covered.

Comments about Fender Super Bassman 300W Tube Bass Head:
I have gone through so many bass amps. Ampeg SVT. Mesa 400+, Orange Terror 1000, Tecamp Puma 900, GK1001rb2 and a few others. This is by far the best sounding head that I have played through. I was hesitant about the overdrive channel. I own and have gone through over 50 overdrive pedals and I could honestly say that the od in this amp is amongst the best Iv'e heard. It has a very useful blend knob that you could dial as much gain as you want. Or you could just use the overdrive channel's active EQ and not use the drive at all. Just two different clean tones. 2 12AX7 tubes for a pre amp and 8 power amp tubes (6x 6550's 1x12AX7 and 1x12AT7) make for a huge tone. So much power behind every note. I play in a very loud band. I use a GK Neo 4x12 and it sounds perfect. I can't say enough good things about this head. I am not even the type to write reviews, but I was compelled to ,as I am really happy with this thing. Get one, you'll be stoked.
