Price, sound, great stock speaker, new modeling sounds and choices, 15 watts tube RMS, channel switching, light weight and Fender quality. Need I say more?
Sometimes people create a product so good that they just leave it alone, let it run its course and then eventually retire it......not Fender!!! They take the extremely popular and amazing Fender Super Champ XD, an amp most people who have tried have also bought, and dramatically improve upon it!! I have the original and love it, but I must admit this new model is even better in several different levels of operation. First, let me say both amps are great, but since the Super Champ XD is no longer available as new, the X2 tells us why by its amazing operational skills and value. The new version is highlighted by a great sounding stock speaker, excellent tube power @ a conservative 15 watts RMS, and most important of all slight modeling changes that give one more "Fender Sound" options than the earlier model. You still have many choices for those who want distorted, thrasher sounds, but, for true Fender fans, you also receive several new classic Fender sounds to choose from as well. For any professional or soon to be pro musician, this is one amp that can serve you in practically any gig situation. It simply sounds amazing and is very powerful and light weight to haul around. Seriously, unless you are an absolute "Rock Star" who needs walls of amplifiers for a big concert venue.....make sure you check this baby out. Did I mention that the price is very reasonable? This is one of the new standards in the Fender line and it is now made in Mexico instead of China. Should be a plus. Either way, check it out, you won't be sorry......this is one great amp!!!!!! By the way, I am no rookie, I have played professionally for over 40 years and I think this amp will be popular with many age levels and styles of players. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps you in your music.

Nice little amp, great features. I like the tubes comlimenting the modeling, as I don't like straight modeling. Nice variety of amps and FX. Wish there was a Mid and Presence control.
The bad:
Every combo I've owned has some sort of rattle or buzz somewhere, including my Princeton Reissue, and that thing cost nearly $1K, which is rediculous. This amp is no exception, and the first day out of the box I had to trace a buzz down to a bad speaker; the speaker has a buzz like the paper was ripped, but there is no rip anywhere. It does this completely out of the cabinet, so it's not cabinet or baffle rattle. I get so tired of purchasing products and then having to return/exchange them, only to get another one with some other problem.
Fender Fuse:
I feel Fender threw us a bone with this. You can create presets on your computer to your heart's content, but unlike the Mustang and G-DEC, you can't upload presets to the amp. You can only create them, store them on your computer, and use them when the amp is connected via a USB cable. This is completely useless if you want to take the amp anywhere with you. All this software serves to do is highlight the fact that 50% of the amp's true features are completely unusable without a computer connection. Therefore, I threw the software in the Recycle bin.
Lastly, the amp does not recall your Tap tempo setting after you change voicings or turn the amp off - there's no way to save your Tap setting. It's annoying to have to reguess my Delay setting every time I turn the amp on.
This is a nice amp that could have been so much better. It's worth keeping because it has a few nice tones, but now I have to replace the speaker and settle for less functionality than I was expecting.
It would be 3/5 if the speaker wasn't broke, and 5/5 if you could also upload your presets to the amp. With two strikes against it, I gave it 2/5-Below average. I recommend it, but only to those who know what to expect.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I have only used it in the basement so far but I like the tones I am getting. Nice smaller amp but it should have come with a foot switch. Why would someone want to walk over to their amp to switch channels? I would have paid the extra money for the switch to be included. I ordered one but it should have been included.

No hassle purchase with MF. Amazing little amp. I am still learning all the sounds. Definitely more high tech than my old Fender Tremolux.
Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I thought this amp had some great tones in it but I had issues with 2 of them. The first one had a crackling sound in the speaker. Sounded like cooking bacon. Didn't matter what setting or what volume I set it at. Returned it for another because I liked the tones. The 2nd one showed up and the cabinet had an aweful rattle, especially when I played low E,F, F# and G. I tried tightening all the screws but that didn't help. So I sent that one back too. I'm a little bummed out because of the good tones I was getting but I'm not gonna put up with the crackling and rattles. I will say that MF was awesome to work with on the returns, very friendly and easy to work with.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This thing is a little beast. Great punchy dirty distortion, and great clean, and everything inbetween. Tons of power for in the house, or a garage band. It sounds a lot bigger than it is, but probably not quite enough for a noisey bar gig unless it's miced. But 15 tube watts? It sure sounds like a lot more. It cranks like the big dogs in the house. Over all I think this is the best amp I've ever had because it's got that cool Fender tube sound with all the affects and 16 different sounds they call "voice". Anyway, if you're thinking of this one you will most definitely be completely satisfied whether you're heavy metal or country, or anything else. It has all the sounds you will need for anything you play. I like to play a lot of Sabbath for instance and this little monster does it better than anything I've ever owned. If you play clean, it has a crystal clean you will love. This thing is a steal at this price. I wish they made a bigger version. I'd buy it right now.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I am amazed at how much I love this amp. First off, I have been playing guitar for 50 years and played professionally for over 30. I have owned some of the most iconic classic Fender amps made. I don't understand the negative reviews. As a recording engineer for many years, I know good tone when I hear it. Maybe they got a lemon. I've played through this amp using my Fender American Deluxe Strat and a Tele, a 335, PRS Santana, an Epiphone Les Paul and the tones are absolutely amazing and carry a distinct sound with each guitar. Recording with this amp is a dream. It is very quiet for a tube amp. One of the main things I noticed while critically listening was the chiming harmonics and sustain; the strings just seemed to sing. The Treble and Bass response on the amp is amazing and the specially designed 10" speaker reproduces bright highs and a tight low end and surprisingly big sounding for its size. I have the Blond vinyl and Oxblood grill cloth model which makes for a classic Fender look of days gone by. I own a modified Fender Tweed Blues Jr., a Princeton Reverb RI, a Cybertwin, a G-Dec, Marshall MG and a Supersonic 22. This Super Champ stands tall along side of them all. Although 15 watts, it can still get loud. It is worth much more than the present price. This is definitely a keeper.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I wanted Fender Blackface tone in a small light reasonably priced package. Something that cleaned up well with a guitar's volume knob and didn't require pedals for some dirt. Reverb was a must, anything else was gravy. This amp delivers all of the above in spades - really!
The fuse software was a bonus that I really ended up appreciating. I used it to remove some harshness in the'80s Marshall model (which sounds identical to the harshness I dislike in REAL Marshalls) by routing the amp to an open back cabinet emulation instead of the default 4x12.
One word of warning: The cover that Fender supplies for this amp does not fit properly. The hole for the handle does not line up with the handle. I solved the problem (partially) by putting the cover on backwards with the logo in back.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
I've been playing professionally for over 40 years. I've owned many Fender amps. I currently own a Pro Reverb (reissue) and a Deluxe VM.
I bought this amp (actually it's the original XD not the X2) because it sounded great in the store. Plus it was light. I was concerned it wouldn't be loud enough on stage but it has turned out to be fine as long as the band is not too loud (see video). I wish it was just a little louder so I could take it to jams where you never know how loud you might have to be.
Anyway, I love this amp. It may be my favorite of all the Fender amps I've owned over the years. I've had Twins, and Deluxe Reverb Reissues, Bandmasters, and an old Super Champ (80's?). This amp has great sounds but I mostly use the Tweed Model (#2) exclusively. It has the great breakup sound of a Deluxe on 8 but I can play it at any volume. It's a monster for recording. Lots of flexibility.
Yes the speaker could be better. But all you have to do is connect it to another cabinet and it rocks. I have a Thiele cabinet with a EV 12" speaker and the sound just gets better hooked up to it.
I like the reverb model but don't use any of the other effects. I've got a pedal board for anything else I need. I just bought it for the good sounds it has.
So far reliability has been good. No problems but I haven't been gigging with it regularly so who knows.
Anyway, bottom line. I might buy a few more just as backups. You can't beat the price so why not.

Comments about Fender Super-Champ X2 15W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This is my second review in less than a week. I don't know why this wasn't posted- but, here goes-this amp is no good. I agree with another reviewer that stated that the speaker was weak. I could not get a good tone from this amp because of the weak speakers. The amp sounded solid state. It didn't sound tubey like it was supposed to, that's why I bought it in the first place. Also the effects weren't good
