Classic Fender cleans and just enough gain in limited edition Black Gold.
The Super-Sonic Twin Black Gold 100W 2x12 tube guitar combo amp is a high-performance, no-nonsense tube amp with limited edition Black Gold cosmetics. It creates unmistakable Fender clean tones and expressive modern high-gain tones without masking the tonal character of your guitar. The 100W Super-Sonic Twin combo contains several sonically versatile new features, including an Arena/Club switch that takes the power down to 25 watts (to preserve its great high-volume tube tone at lower “club gig” volume levels); a Notch Tune control that lets you move the midrange notch and fine-tune the distortion characteristics for a variety of American and British amp sounds; a rear-panel damping control that lets you select “normal,” “loose” or “tight” speaker response for sounds ranging from warm and loose to tight and focused; and the new Fender Automatic Bias control, which lets you easily set the output tubes to the recommended factory setting and to your preference of “hotter” or “cooler” bias with no need for meters or tools.
The Vintage channel gets shimmering clean tone derived from Fender Twin Reverb and Showman amps or the thick, punchy sound of a 1960s-era Bassman amp. The Burn channel gets you edgy breakup and distortion with variable compression, thickness and sustain. Other features include dual 12” Celestion Vintage 30 speakers; tube-driven Fender long-spring reverb; effects loop with level control that also works as a footswitch-operated boost; and custom Schumacher transformers. Cover and pedalboard-friendly four-button footswitch included.

Comments about Fender Super-Sonic Twin Black/Gold 100W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This amp costs 1400 more than the Supersonic Twin 100 watt 2 x 12 combo just because it has 2 tone tolex?! And both colors of the special edition are the same colors available as all one color models, black and gold(which looks awful blond to me).
I look at this amp knowing there is no bigger supersonic twin fan than I, and shake my head in wonder as to who might buy this over the regular supersonic twin.
Smacks to FMIC for making these sorts of things. Was the black and gold so much harder to glue to the wood that it cost 1400 more in manufacturing costs? Is the quality of this black and Gold tolex 1400 more in material costs than the regular black and blond tolex?
