Fulltone

This is how you wish your vintage fuzz pedal sounded!

Ready to deliver fat and harmonic fuzz whenever you need it, the Fulltone '69 MkII also cleans up like a vintage Fender® amp when you turn down your guitar's volume control. The Rolling Stones and the Black Crowes have discovered this trick.

If you love the first two Hendrix releases, then you'll love the '69 MkII fuzz with its two germanium transistors, hand-picked and tested for optimum performance. A Contour knob lets you dial in midrange, harmonics, and sustain, while the Input knob takes the "woofiness" out and gives great overdrive/distortion sounds when backed off. An internal "bias" trimmer allows for adjustment of clipping symmetry, harmonics, and tracking.

Specifications subject to change at any given moment due to availability and due to whimsy.

True bypass w/LED is standard equipment to preserve tone when the pedal is off!

Comments about Fulltone '69 MkII Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

Awesome pedal, don't let the price fool you! You get what you pay for! Sounds WAY better than the fuzzface reissue pedals out there and as everyone else said, it cleans up beautifully when you roll the volume knob down. After buying close to 15 fuzz/distortion pedals, I can finally say I'm satisfied with this one!

Comments about Fulltone '69 MkII Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is the best fuzz pedal I haves used to date. I play Bad Company and Led Zeppelin type material and this pedal is versatile enough to cover slightly gritty cleans all the way to violin like sustain. Very responsive to the guitars volume control! Just don't like the reverse ploarity power input. Had to purchase a speecial cable.

'69 MkII Fuzz Pedal...Jimi tone at your feet

Bias control allows for various fuzz tones
Fulltones are always built like tanks. A bit of a pain having to order a special Voodoo Labs power cable to power it, but a small price to pay for a great fuzz tone.

                Review of '69 MkII Fuzz

                By Mike Gulotta

                from New York

Comments about Fulltone '69 MkII Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

Very tune-able germanium fuzz. Great smooth-type (there's an oxymoron) '60s fuzz; plenty of fuzzy-woof (and it's controllable!) Reminds me of "Them Changes" live, has all of those tones and colors from 9 to 2 on a Strat's (and p-90's) volume control!! It cleans up wonderfully, makes me want to leave it on all the time! Oh, and yes, the battery can move around and may rattle a bit - it won't hurt anything!! And. . . we're guitar players; we all carry foam pieces, masking & duct-tape, etc with us!
Adapts well to different guitars, pickups (singles and p-90s at least) and amps (several tube amps and transistor amps!) All of the controls have a nice range (not as sensitive as digitals)
Fulltone-Tough; custom-shop quality. Not at all 'pricey' for what it is!! All quality controls/knobs/components.
                Worth every penny! (for me)

Disappointing Fuzz Tones, A Fuzz should fuzz

Comments about Fulltone '69 MkII Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

I am looking elsewhere for fuzz tone - don't believe the hype about this pedal, not all that great. Ran through a Bogner Plexi-type amp (USA Custom Shop) and it sounded ok, but did not have the tone I was looking for.
4 knobs to tweak the tone of this highly anticipated pedal, but overall a letdown.
Smaller case is nice but the freaking battery rattles around inside as there is no clip to hold it snugly in place. For this kind of $$ I don't think the pedal should make a sound when it's moved around, kind of a lack of forethought in the design maybe? Otherwise build quality is pretty solid.
Fulltone makes good stuff, but not too expensive compared to some other boutique fuzz pedals. I've had Homebrew (HBE, Zvex) and a few other fuzz pedals in similar price zone...eehh not too pricey but not the tone I had in my head when I think Fuzzface late 60's fuzz.

                69 Fuzz

                By Ian Riley

                from Denver

Comments about Fulltone '69 MkII Fuzz Guitar Effects Pedal:

I figured I'd review this pedal since it only has one on this site. The 69 is awesome. It's quite versatile for a fuzz. I usually run the volume and fuzz at maximum, the input at around 1-2, and the contour around 3-max. I also like the sound of the input on max, and the contour at about noon. This is really more of an overdrive fuzz than a full-on fuzz effect. You can run it as more of a vintage fuzz sound, but in my opinion, it really excels with the input reduced so you get a little less gain and woofyness. The best thing about this pedal is how dynamic it is. Roll down your volume knob and you can get incredible cleans and mild overdrives. And it doesn't reduce the high end when you do this, which makes it very unique. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good vintage fuzz with high quality germanium transistors. I've owned several fuzz boxes and this is by far my favorite. Go buy it!

                rock solid
I've waited for this pedal for a long time. Had it pre-ordered for two months. I'll keep it short by saying this is the king of fuzz, everything you could want. Roll down the volume on your guitar and it cleans up beautifuly. If your looking for a fuzz pedal look no further. Fulltone makes the best pedals i've ever played. hands down. Rock on my friends.
