this is hands down the best sounding bass head i have ever played through the tone on this thing is amazing....it is a bit pricey but is well worth it.

My title is "60 seconds or less" because you'll fall in love it before the tubes have time to warm up. I've used/owned Fender, Ashdown, Ampeg, Hartkey and Peavy over the years, but they don't come close to the sound of this one. I'm in love with this amp and will not buy another one for as long as this one is functioning.
This amp has all the features and more than you'll ever want! Unlike some other amps with they either have too much or to little GK actually puts a lot of useful feature on the front pannel. The four band eq and contours are perfect. I haven't used the motorized knobs yet because I just find it compliments my set up as is. Actually when I first tried it in the store, the store emplyee and I both jumped back as the knobs moved slightly. We kind of looked at each other and thought we were crazy!
I've never owned a GK before so I'm not too sure about their quality, but I had several bass player friends recommend GK over other popular brands. So far I've had no problems!

i recently bought this as an upgrade to my gk 700rb head(which i also recommend)the 700rb is a great amp but ive been playing it through the gk neo 412 and it felt a bit underpowered so naturally id want to get something with a little kick. firsts things first this thing is built like a tank, and the motorized pots are amazing. they let me dial in a nice jazz tone then go right into a sic pop slap. and the over all tone control destroys any ampeg Ive ever touched. looking forward to taking it with me tour this year

After playing with nothing but Fender forever I switched to SWR about 2 years ago. It was ok but never blew me away. I wanted something that had that great tube sound without the great tube head weight. This amp is it. I played on this amp for 5 minutes and was in love! I've gigged with it 10 times now and you'd be amazed at how many compliments I get. I play in a prog metal band and you can get anything from a nice growl to a jazz fusion tone. I plan on buying this exact head for my backup. 5 stars!

This amp is the best I have ever played through!! It is extremely versatile and has ample amount of power. You will never need more power. I keep my Master Vol on about 3. Anything more and my band mates start complaining!! (LOL) It gets that smooth tube tone too. GK has really upped the ante on all the other amp companies. One of my favorite features on it is the gain. It's not at all like the gain or (growl) from the RB series amps. No way!!! This gain REALLY makes it growl! And the included foot pedal is killer too. You can switch b/w 2 different settings on the amp. GK has the best customer service. They always take care of me. I think they are the best bass amp company PERIOD and this amp really solidifies their dominance!!!

Best Tube Amp Ever! Been playing Bass for 20 years. I have had Ampeg, Fender, etc. This one out plays them all. And, It is GK so its reliable, unlike Ampeg that fails often. Its worth the money.
