    Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

Versatile, easily portable, well built......sounds much bigger than its size....sounds great both with upright bass and popping, slapping solid body and everything in between.

      Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

This is my second Gallien Kreuger Neo bass cabinet.
I have a GK 700 RB head for my amp setup.
My first cab is a GK Neo 115 III with a 15 inch speaker.
I've been gigging with Neo 115 for awhile with great results.
But now that I have this Neo 112,
I'll probably be doing gigs with this 12 inch instead!
The Neo 112 has better clarity in all frequencies.
It has good bass response due to its nicely designed cabinet size and being front ported.
When I pair the Neo 115 with the Neo 112 my rig sounds big, loud, clear and punchier.
The Neo 112 is a winner...I only wish is I had bought a Neo 112 instead of the Neo 115 that I acquired previously.

        Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

Used as a stand alone cabinet on a small gig, had no problem with volume
Even with two guitars and drums on the job.
Will use with a 210 cab. on bigger gigs.
Great tone and lightweight plus the price is right!

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

This speaker is clear and tight with no mud. The large box vented box makes the most of the 12" speaker, providing a surprisingly good bottom end without having to fake it with mid-bass boom.

Love the lightweight design. I bought a second one, and as a stack, they're up to any challenge I'll meet.

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

Very nice punchy sound. Great price for a USA cab. I'm using it with a GK 400RB IV with Fender and G&L basses. Crisp highs and surprising low end. I'm planning on picking up another for a mini stack.

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

This cabinet is a great value; versatile, light weight, good tight sound at a fair price. I've been using the cabinet alone powered by a GK MB 500 or in tandem with an Ampeg 1 15". Recently I've also been using it in combination with a Carvin MB 12. In Austin, Texas where you may have to hump your equipment on a dolly for a couple of blocks at the end of the night to get to your vehicle, this cabinet is a real back saver. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't have the big bottom sound like a four 10 or two 15 cabinet but if you're looking for light weight/good sound/fair price I highly recommend this cabinet.

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

          Hello,

I recently bought this G-K "Neo" 1x12 bass cabinet as a "level 2" used cabinet to complement my older SWR Workingman's 1x15T bass cabinet. Currently I'm using an old (1984) G-K 200RCB bass head which is rated 100 watts into 4-ohms. Since both of these cabinets are 8-ohms, I will be able to utilize all 100 watts of this small head unit.

This '1x12T' seems to have a well-rounded voice the works well for guitar and PA work too.
For a thick bass tones, my '1x15T' is hard to beat.

The combination of my new Neo 112-II and my old Workingman's 1x15T, driven by my 200RCB is bigger than I ever imagined and should serve me very well for my next gig. The best part is the load-in will be relatively easy.

          Thanks for reading!
Super-quality cast-frame woofer that is very light weight (small powerful "neo" magnet).
Very high quality high-frequency horn or 'tweeter'.
Nice fully adjustable 'tweeter' level control - feels like a wire-wound pot.
Black vinyl covering is nicely applied.
Hardware is high quality - thick plastic corners and spring loaded handles (recessed so sits flat on floor when cabinet is mounted in a vertical orientation).
Eight screws used to mount the woofer.
My G-K "Neo" cabinet appeared to be a new one, but upon my close inspection, I found two of the four wood screws used to mount the high-frequency horn/tweeter were stripped out.

The two stripped mounting screw holes seemed to be drilled too close to the larger circular access hole for the flared horn of the tweeter. Fortunately, I was able to easily fix this problem by gluing in some round wooden toothpicks that I cut to the proper length to match the thickness of the baffle board. After the wood glue dried the two screws tightened up securely.

The light weight of this "Neo" '1X12T' cabinet is achieved by a very light weight cast frame neo magnet woofer, combined with light weight plywood that seems thin, although there are two internal braces tied between the front and back panels to minimize cabinet flexure.

The high quality horn/tweeter is quite heavy (big ceramic magnet) and long, so those four wood screws holding it on better be tight. You may have to remove the heavy steel grille to access the tweeter mounting screws.
Has to be one of the best small cabinets for the money, even at the new unit price.

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

I like the overall performance, portability, construction, lightweight of this cabinet. The adjustable horn is a plus.
Very wide sound range( High's/Mid's,Lows) for a light weight cabinet. Thinking about getting a second one. Portabality and sound were the two main reasons I purchased this encloseure. I was not dissapointed.
Very well built. Nothing fancy, just does the job !!!
Very good price for the level and quality of sound!!

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

          Excellent Value, ultra light wieght,..
A little upsetting how much better it sounded than my "old-faithful" Ampeg
I bought this GK Neo 1x12 on a whim hoping to add a little extra sound to my rig and I was really impressed. Thru an Ashdown EVO 500 (1000 watts peak) and hooked together with an Ampeg classic 4x10 this combo alltogether provides WAY more sound and power than I'd actually ever need. The GK Neo 1x12 is actually plenty for smaller gigs w/o the Ampeg 4x10. This Gk amp sounds significantly better than my AMpeg speakers by a long shot. I'm trully greatfull i experimented by adding a 12" speaker to my arsenal. This little light wieght speaker gives my gibson SG bass better sound than it ever had! Trully impressive. If you're on the fence and can't decide, just spend the affordable $$ for it and do it!

          I love it

          Comments about Gallien-Krueger Neo 112-II 1x12 300W Bass Cabinet:

So far I love it. The cab is light but strong. The handles are spring loaded and solid. The grill is well built and looks great. the Neo speaker sounds great from the thunderus lows to slappin highs.
Bi amp or full rannge nice feature. I consider the weight a big feature and this thing is light (30lbs). I could strap it to my motorcycle if I had to.
I think this cab is well built with quality components. The covering is flawless. the grill is well made and looks awesome. I am very happy with the sound quality of this cab. The lows are low and the mids have a nice growl. I haven't had the cab long but I am very pleased. I will propably get another for a mini stack.
Great value. I compared this cab to a few very expensive 12's and they had nothing on GK.
