Uses the latest technologies to ensure heavy performance from a lightweight cab.
The Gallien-Krueger Neo 115 Bass Cab is a high-powered bass cab built to deliver silky-smooth, solid tone with less weight. This compact roadworthy, front-ported cab is loaded with a custom-designed, cast-frame 15" neodymium speaker. Neodymium speakers are lighter than traditional speakers, but deliver the same robust performance. Tuned for a consistent response from top to bottom, there is plenty of definition in the highs and mids, coupled with a fat low-end. The cabinet also features GK's bi-amp system; Speakon-style and 1/4" connectors; 300W power handling; rugged 11-ply poplar construction; Tolex covering; reinforced, interlocking corners; 16-gauge steel grill; and removable casters.

I am using this with a GK MB500 head. Does the low B very well. And still has descent high mids. It sounds better as a stand alone than a Aguilar GS112. I don't like the "fragile" tolex. I ended up buying a cover from the GK website to protect it. This has some of that vintage 15 vibe but with good clarity. When you consider price, weight, and sound, this is a great value IMO.
For all it's worth, I was pretty impressed with the Neo 1x15 cabinet. I use it in conjunction with a Neo 2x12 Cabinet and a 1001RB-II as my amplifier. The cabinet worked great for several practices and gigs, and then the speaker blew out at a gig! I know the speaker handles 300 watts max, but I never pushed the head more than half volume! I'm somewhat disappointed that the speaker died only after a couple months of use, but other than that, when it was working, it sounded very warm w/ plenty of bottom end. I might recommend someone use the 800RB or 700RB-II with this cabinet, not the 1001RB-II just as to make sure that the cabinet does not get overpowered or something.
