Decided on the GPT-PWR over the SKB. I'm pretty happy with the gator. I'm not a pro so I don't need a pro-size pedalboard. If you're gigging every day, you'll probably want to go with a bigger pedal board. But the gator is perfect for what I do. It will hold a max of about 6 pedals, unless you only use Boss pedals, then it will hold probably 8. I really like the design of this board, especially how the power supply is mounted underneath the board and the power cables feed through a slot on the front. That really cleans up the looks of your board and makes it a lot easier to tell which cables is being routed to which pedal. However the contruction of this board is a little shoddy. Particularly the edges of the board near the front. Also, the velcro strips that attach the pedals have a tendency to rip up the bottom half on the velcro. Just be careful when re-arranging or moving pedals once you've attached the velcro. Overall this a nice, bare-bones pedal board. You get power for your effects and that's it. I wouldn't reccomened this to a pro as it doesn't have a cable tester or a bypass for a tuner in the chain. But if you gig on the weekends or just want to clean up the mess of wires from you effects, buy this pedal board.

This board is a good buy for the price, however if you are a professional musician, think twice. I've had it for a couple of years and dissapointed with the choice of power supply and AC adaptor selection. The AC power adaptor has a very thin power chord that IS NOT professional grade and is very easy to break or short and does not last. The worse thing is that the power supply plug is not a standard 3-prong, but a very small, unique plug that cannot be found anywhere else. And yet worse, now that the power chord of the adapter has broken and shorted, I cannot find a replacement adaptor, looked online and can't find anyone that sells this type of adaptor and plug. So my power supply is useless. Gator does not sell replacements, Musicians friend neither. If I want to get my board up and running again, I have to buy a new power supply. Next time, I will select my own power supply that comes with a standard heavy duty cable that will hold up to gigs. Oh, and the plug for this adapter is so chintsy that unless you glue or tape the chord, it keeps coming undone in the middle of a show.
I'll go with VOoDoo labs or something similar.

Comments about Gator GPT-PWR Powered Pedal Tote Pedalboard with Carry Bag:
the board works rather nicely and has a clever design with the power supply on the underside, with the cables running through to the back. However, the included power supply is pretty average, the cable connecting the box to the wall is not professional quality. im going to end up replacing it with a Voodoo Lab power supply because the little power cable with the gator power supply is destined to break while on stage. My advice, get the gator pedal board WITHOUT the power supply and spend the extra money on the voodoo lab

Comments about Gator GPT-PWR Powered Pedal Tote Pedalboard with Carry Bag:
This pedlaboard works OK. My issue is it's poor quality. I bought this, and had it a few days before I had a chance to actually mount pedlas on it. I took it out of the bag a coupld times to look it over and plan what pedals to use on it. When I took it out of the bag to work on it, the "tolex' had started to peel off in a few places, and just taking it out the the bag had damaged the tolex in other places. While functionally acceptable, it falls far short of expectations in build quality. It's cheap construction isn't going to withstand the rigors of a working guitarist. Don't buy it.

Comments about Gator GPT-PWR Powered Pedal Tote Pedalboard with Carry Bag:
Like i said compared to others this pedalboard's a steal, would definitley grab another if it was stolen.
Comes with a power supply on the back, can hold a nice amount if pedals. I have a morley wah, an mxr eq, an overdrive, a distortion, and a delay, can hold about 5 or 6 stompboxes with a smaller wah.
Sturdy, looks clean, just nice and compact.
Compared to other pedalboards this ones a steal for the quality and price.
Comments about Gator GPT-PWR Powered Pedal Tote Pedalboard with Carry Bag:
This board is smaller than I expected, but it turned out to be a perfect fit for the seven pedals I use. So check the dimensions to make sure it's big enough. If so, you won't be disappointed. It's very sturdy and well designed, with the power supply pre-installed in just the right place underneath. Unfortunately, there's not enough clearance to attach the power adapter to the bottom of the board, so you have to put it on top or on the floor. No biggy. I play through two amps. My signal chain starts with a Hardwire tuner into a Radial BigShot ABY, with one output running clean into a Hardwire reverb and out to a Fender Blues Jr. The outher ABY out runs to an MXR Super Comp -->TS9 Tube Screamer -->MXR Phase 90 -->MXR Carbon Copy delay into the Hardwire reverb and out to a Vox Night Train. It's a tight fit with all the cable, but it works great. And the whole thing drops into the soft case for transport.

Only issu I have with this is the short ac cabl that runs from the power supply. I have used it on 100+ gigs and have never had it fail on me. It is full with 5 Boss pedals and a CryBaby wah.
Comments about Gator GPT-PWR Powered Pedal Tote Pedalboard with Carry Bag:
i've been using my pedals WITHOUT a pedal board and i finally made the jump AFTER doing some review research. and this is an excellent board. fits my pedals, easy to carry, nice and compact (i only use 5 peadals)and the power pak is awesome, velcro board is strong..... just an all around great investment for your gigging! don't worry, you found the one you're looking for!
