60 compact stereo watts, tilt back cabinet, and sweet acoustic sound.

The Genz-Benz Shen 60 LT is an acoustic guitar combo amplifier that pumps out 60W and projects warm, articulate tone. This Shenandoah series acoustic combo amp has dual 6.5" speakers and a studio-quality lush stereo 24-bit digital effects processor with 16 preset programs.

The preamp has 2 separate channels, each with a 3-band EQ with sweepable midrange for flexible control of possible offending frequencies. The preamp offers one XLR mic input (with phantom power) and 2 - 1/4" instrument inputs that mix together for additional versatility for use with multiple players. The rear panel offers a left and right XLR direct output and a headphone jack with a speaker on/off switch.

The Shen 60 LT amp's cabinet design incorporates a stage monitor shape for added flexibility during performances. Sit the Genz-Benz acoustic amp upright or tilt it back at a 30-degree angle to enhance the amp's tone. Tilting the cabinet back helps to reduce "boomy" low frequencies and augments mid-frequency projection.

This classically crafted beauty surprised me the first moment I plugged a guitar into it, till the moment today. It is surprising how solid state cleanliness can be so lush sounding. The bass response of the guitar is phenomenal, infact I hear new nuances on the same guitar patch that I had programmed fro over 2 Years. That is an achievement for an amplifier as the whole objective of an amplifier is to reproduce the sound in a perfectly balanced way, not exaggerated or demeaned. This a perfect studio and stage accompaniment as it gives DI options for mixers and has 2 channels with separate parametric EQs, I mean who does a parametric EQs dedicated for each channel(Let me know if you find any other). The amplifier naturally produced ear pleasing frequencies eliminating feedbacks and enhancing tones without much fuss with the controls. If you have been into amps, you will quickly realise that you have never seen anything like this before and you know you'll never one either...cuz there isn't one. I cant praise this beauty enough.

It does almost everything

I've had this for a year and a half now and continue to be amazed at all this can do. When I practice at church with the other guitarist, we can put two guitars into it and a mic using the XLR. We can control EQ and the level of effects on each channel. I play a Taylor 410ce and a Martin OM though it for acoustic pieces and the sound is great. When we play during the service, we use it as a monitor, tilted back, and use the XLR outs for the two channels to feed the PA system. That way we get control over the tone.I also use it with my strat and a Line 6 Floor Pod Plus. It gives me a great tone. I got rid of my electric guitar amp since this does it all.My buddy keeps complementing the amp for how great it sounds. It has plenty of power for they way we play. I would definately buy another.

I own this amp and it is well built and pretty good sounding. I have a Taylor Walnut with Fishman matrix electronics and the high end is a little brittle thru this amp. The volume is not powerful enough for me to to use in church, however the Alesis effects are very good. SWR's Strawberry blonde has more accurate and natural sound and the extra 20 watts makes a reasonable difference in volume.I admit I have a critical ear, but still I would rate this amp as slightly above average.

Great acoustic amp!

Bought this to replace a Behringer that went belly up. It ended up being a good thing. I really like this amp. It is substantially lighter than the Behringer and the sound is great. Unlike some in its class, it has the ability to control each channel separately, which is great if you want to use one channel for vocals. Lots of effects (more than I use), great reverb. Bought an inexpensive boss FS-5L footswitch that allows you to turn the effects on/off. Have run it into a PA as well, and used this amp as a monitor - very nice. All in all, I am very pleased with this amp. I play a Yairi DY62 and a Martin DC1E through it - both sound great. I have run electrics through it with a digitech multi effects pedal and the sound was decent for a non-tube amp. Plenty loud with great sound - nice value. A+.

Great All Around Amp

After nearly two years, I continue to be pleased with this amp. I use it for acoustic and electric guitars. For acoustic I use it with a Taylor 410CE and a Martin OM18V. Both sound clear and clean. It has balanced XLRs out for both channels, so I use it at church through the PA with another guy who plays a Seagull. The audio guys love this since I can control the tone on the stage. I also play my deluxe american strat through it with a floor pod plus. I got rid of my Marshall amp, since this does it all. I can also run a mic through an XLR with two guitars (although the mic channel and one guitar share the same EQ). The reverb is wonderful. I like the varied effects I can put on an acoustic. You can adjust the intensity of the effect for each channel separately, not the type (hall, plate, etc).It has plenty of power when I play out, so I only need this for vocals and guitar. No PA needed. Its heavy, but made like a tank. There is a headphone only switch for silent play, but mine has a little bit of hiss. I don't use that feature anyway.I would definately buy this again if lost or stolen.
