A 3-stage variable overdrive with a powerful 3-band EQ.
The VOD is a unique and amazingly versatile pedal that can produce any level of overdrive from clean boost to shred metal. The 3-band EQ has a wide cut and boost range to provide almost any desired tone. One central concept to the VOD is to preserve the full EQ and tone of the original signal, which is not easy with a distortion pedal. By adjusting the EQ, you will find you can retain your fundamental guitar tone, whether it is low end, mid tones, or high-end harmonics. Of course, if you want to augment your tone, you can cut and boost highs, lows or mids to create your own sound.
â¢3-position pedal: Select the any of 3 levels of gain and distortion giving anywhere from clean boost to shred. No need for multiple buttons
â¢Flexible: Each of these 3 levels can be individually preset for gain and distortion.
â¢3-Band EQ: Post-effect EQ anywhere from fat and warm to mid-rich to bright and can be adjusted to preserve original tonal qualities of your guitar.
3 bright LEDs: Indicate pedal position and level of distortion selected, easy to see onstage.
Get a low-noise analog pedal with tone to die for.

Comments about Gig-FX VOD Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:
I like Gig-FX pedals and not sure why you do not hear more about them. Check You Tube as Gearmandude has a good demo on these and there are a few others.Versatility - This pedal is like the swiss army knife of analog OD/distortion pedals and is a big plus if you do not want or can not stack several pedals in series. No popping , clicking or other unwanted noises as you swtich seemlessly between the 3 levels and bypass.Perserves your tone well and can be tailored with the 3 band EQ.The manufacturer says they have a better than true bypass solution and whatever it is...there is there is no tone loss in bypass.Only takes about 10 min to dial in the settings on the 3 different levels, but just be careful when adjusting the level and gain as the knobs are one inside the other.Edge, Crunch, and Distortion by rocking the pedal.Probably not well suited for some really heavy metal sound but for classic rockin' its good ( and fun to play with)Can't really thing of anything to say against this pedal as far as cons.
I like:the very useful 3 band EQ this pedal has instead of the standard "tone" knob on most other pedals.the ability to dial in gain AND output level for each of the 3 settings of OD / distortion.great design, foot print is about the size of a wah pedal
I have 2 Gig-FX pedals, this VOD and the Peter Frampton wah and they are both light in weight but but seem well made and should last.
