The Guyatone MT-3 is a miracle of micro technology”a multifunction chromatic tuner that fits in the pocket of your gig bag and won't take up valuable space on your already-crowded pedalboard! The MT-3 works just like any other stompbox”plug your instrument into the input, plug the output into your amp, and you're rocking. The MT-3's stomp switch mutes the input signal for silent tuning, performing double duty as a "kill" switch for your rig. Most importantly, The MT-3's advanced circuitry won't alter the tone of your instrument when bypassed. If you prefer tuning to a reference pitch, the MT-3 can generate tones over a one octave (13 notes - A4-A5) range that can be adjusted at the touch of a button.

I have had this pedal for many years now and it has never let me down. I've gone through several different overdrive, fuzz, delay, chorus, etc. pedals, but the guyatone pedal tuner has always stayed with me. From studio work to many, many bar gigs, this tuner has never let me down. It's easy to see when you're jamming in a dimly lit pub. This pedal is worth every cent.
Very small foot print for your pedal board, sucks NO tone. It's a nice alternative to the other stomp tuners out there.
I orginally planned to get a Boss chromatic pedal tuner for my bass rig, but the guy at the local music store told me that Guyatone is a better choice than Boss, simply because they are made in Japan, not China like Boss, they are cheaper, and they have all the basic features that Boss has. I took his advice and plugged this thing up. It tunes like a miracle, you can select two different tuning graphics (bar or dot) and you can even select your frequency and all that. The only thing that edged me a little bit...well two things. It does not function as a power supply for other pedals like the Boss tuner does, and when you push the button to mute it, it has a slight delay of about half a second. Other than that, if you want to save some money on a pedal tuner..go with this over Boss or anything else!!
