An ideal combo amp for practice or recording.

Comments about Hartke A Series A70 70 Watt 1x12" Bass Combo Amp:
This is just a great little amp. I'm a former pro club musician with 3+ decades of experience. I waited until I had 6 months experience with the amp to write this review so I'd know what I wanted to say about it.
I've had several different BIG loud stage amps in the past. As I've gotten older we've (thankfully) moved to smaller lower powered amps used basically as stage monitors, run everything to the board with the house mix coming back through one monitor buss, vocals through a second buss. Helps save what little hearing I still have left...
The Hartke A70 is a really good combo amp for stage/small club/practice use. The low Z out from the head to the board works perfectly for live work, on it's own it's loud enough and punchy enough to cut through on stage no problem. No, you won't fill the room with it - that's now what it was designed to do. Run it to the board, let the PA do the work.
Light enough and small enough to be easily portable, robust enough that it has good punch and decent pressure level in small venues, enough features (the EQ, the headphone out, input for my Tascam GB-10 for home practice, low Z out for live work) that I really don't need anything else to get the sounds I'm looking for. If I wanted something a bit louder I'd go for the A100, otherwise this fills the bill extremely well. If you want loud go for something bigger. If you want great utility at a portable size and decent price this is a really good option.
