Comments about Hartke HD50 50W 1x10 Bass Guitar Combo:

I've been playing professionally for a long time, almost 20 years. When I ended up with what was to me a strange scenario, having to constantly bring an amp to where I didn't need much volume due to an electronic drummer. Now, I have rigs that have always covered my needs, a scale-able Ampeg set up with both 610 and 410hlf cabs, which started being powered by a lh1000 a couple years ago (this started my love with Hartke ever since). What was my portable rig and when hauling around my SWR WorkingPro12, which I've loaded with an Eminence Delta, it will keep up with whatever I situation I put it in. The drawback is that it is a hair under 70lbs. I needed none of that, just a good sounding, well built combo that can take a 5 string. This does it very well, and I can tell you from experience you will not find another amp in this price that is built to last and produce professional quality tones at low volume. I do not want gimmicks, I want a good limiter and solid pots (they are what will fail). This has both, and should be what you buy if you know what you're doing and shopping for an amp of this size.

Comments about Hartke HD50 50W 1x10 Bass Guitar Combo:

If you are looking for a simple, great sounding, and extremely well built bass amp, look no further.
This little amp is perfect for what I use it for: Home practice/recording. It has plenty of power, Tons of clean bottom end, perfect midrange presence, and crystal clear highs. I have owned a few bass combo amps, and this one blows them all out of the water. It holds it own easily in a 12x14' practice room with a vicious drummer and a guitarist with a screaming Blues Junior III. It is my first Hartke product, but will not be my last!

Comments about Hartke HD50 50W 1x10 Bass Guitar Combo:

I got this for an at home practice amp and for that it's great. you could use it for a gig I suppose if you had house support or were playing a small room with +- 100 folks. If they weren't terribly noisy. Dinner atmosphere kind of thing. It is reasonably quiet as far as hiss goes. You can play it on 10 if you don't have the bass too high. Sounds like a bigger 2x10 Hartke that is a little underpowered. Not too much though. For 50 watts it Kicks. For turned down or headphone practice in the bedroom its great. I just had to say that again. If you want to gig a little with it I suppose you could but I have bigger setups for that. It would make a good monitor for medium size Gigs if you want to use a Mic with it. I would go 1 size larger though for gigging. More features and more sound..
