Tremendous value in a solid practice/jam/home rec amp. Does what a guitar amp should do and does it well. Plenty of features, but you must take time to figure out how they work together. For example, the EQ is relational, cut one, you are boosting others, the lead channel adds gain AND cuts reverb, the clean channel clips when pushed past halfway, etc. And this is a real "screen door" reverb, producing a deep, rich tone. The FX loop is very handy and sensitive, stick a distortion pedal or even an aggressive compressor and prepare for hum and hiss. My signal chain took some trial and error, but is now wonderfully flexible: Guitar-Multieffects-Amp-FX Loop (echo and vibrato) then the FS-1 footswitch to stomp between lead and clean channels. The footswitch is a practical requirement to max out this amp. The gain is somewhat scratchy, just a dab will do for most tones. As it is, about the only sound I haven't gotten out of this thing is full-on death metal, but for that you should be looking elsewhere anyway. But for an incredible array of classic rock and blues sounds, I don't think you can do better at twice the price.

I have not been pleased with this amp, which I have owned for almost 2 years. It has a decent tube-amp sound to it, but I've found its versatility and performance to be lacking. The various EQ controls don't give you the range of tones that this amp should provide, and the spring reverb is useless. The overdrive channel is way too dirty for my tastes, so I rarely use it all. The line-out jack on the back of the amp stopped working properly after just 3 months. When I attempted to contact the manufacturer in Chicago both by phone and email, they never responded. So much for their warranty. I would recommend the Vox 30w valvetronix as an alternative for the smart shopper.

This amp is plenty loud for a practice/small gig amp. It's tone quality is awesome. There is no hissing noise, and the price is the best there is. If your a beggining musician or even an experienced one looking for an amp, you should buy this amp over any other brand. You wont be dissapointed.

I bought this amp because I needed something a bit smaller and quieter. I play surf style stuff and I couldn't really achieve that tonality with this amp. I loved the footswitchable channels and the clean channel but the lead channel had way too much treble, even when dialed down. The reverb was ok, I would prefer using a pedal but thats just due to my playing style. All in all its not too bad of an amp.

I played this amp At my friends house a few days ago and I was not overly impressed. The clean settings are pretty good, but I thought that the distorion was bad. It was just too sloppy for me. It didn't even sound like rock. I don't know if it was just the settings he had on it or what, but I didn't like the distortion at all. I think this is more of a blues amp, so if you like blues, then you'll like this. It does Okay with pedals and effects, not a great sound with a wah, but it gets the job done. I like how the top lights up blue when you turn it on though. I would reccomend to save up a little more and Get a 30 watt Marshall, way better quality for about the same Price.
EXCELLENT!!!! I use this with my Fender Fat Strat, and it is awesome. There is SOOO much tone. I like playin heavier stuff and i like clean now because of this amp! Both the channels sound amazing. If you want your guitar to sound extra heavy, just dial in bass on the EQ and take out the rest. This amp is freakin loud. I can keep time from the rattle of my desk!!! ANY musician should strongly consider this, BUY IT NOW, IT IS AWESOME!!!!!
Incredible Value!
the amp has a great sound to it i thought it was a good amd i think it would be a good amp for any1
Excellent value. Although a bit polarized (very distorted or very clean) the range of sound is impressive. Great quality, cool backlight, and quite loud for 30 watts.
Great little rock amp. Clean channel has little headroom. Lead channel more than makes up for it, going from smokey blues to full on Dimebag!
