I bought this Ibanez IBZ10 at a garage sale for $20 (sorry Musician's Friend, but I do a lot of other shopping with you every month, sometimes twice) and it's a great little practice amp. You can dial up decent tone both clean and overdriven as long as you take a little time and dial it in. I'm reading reviews here about guys trying to play over their drummers and guys playing bass guitar through it. Anybody playing Shea Stadium or Madison Square Garden will be disappointed if this is the amp that they expect to do it with. Give me a break, it's a ten watt "starter" amp, just like it says on the Jumpstart Kit. It's great for practice, I've even gotten some decent sound by miking this amp for recording. Be realistic-you can't just crank everything up to 10 plus and expect good sound and you can't pull 100 watts out of a 10 watt amp.

I bought this amp with my first guitar not knowing anything about guitars or amps. That was possibly the biggest mistake i have ever made guitar wise. The clean is sort of fuzzy, but not too bad, but the overdrive sounds like a hamster in a garbage disposal, i cover my ears everytime i hear it. ive simply stopped playing it altogether, it fuzzes so much its scarry, its like it was made to be a white elephant gift. I would never suggest this amp for anyone. the only thing that is worth buying is the price, but for that price, you might as weel go with a squier begginer amp by fender, it sounds much better, although it is not the best. I now use a Line 6 Spider 2, im thinking about pawning this guitar, but i might have regrets about selling it to sometone without warning them about the quality first. Unless you are completely hooked onto this cheap amp, DO NOT BUY IT, in fact, go 15 watt than 10 watt, there's a huge difference in sound and quality.

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

I have had this amp for 12 years, and it has been used more than any amp in my collection. It has been my primary practice amp the whole time, and I've even been able to get some decent miked tones in the studio. It has had beer, water, soda, and other liquids spilled on it throughout the years and it still keeps on ticking. Just keep the jacks clean and you shouldn't have any issues. The distortion sucks, but it's better than nothing if you don't have a seperate pedal or processor (I still use an old Digitech GNX 2 modeler). It's not a bass amp, and you can't expect it to perform in a full-band scenario. It's a practice amp, and it definitely does its job well.

good for the money IBZ-10 Tone blaster amp

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

    yahoo!
Have had this about three years. Pretty decent for a small amp. The CD input sold me on it. Good tone and ok distortion. Not a Marshall but works with my GB-2 and computer outputs too. Lacks a mid-range response but not a problem for a small amp. Good for practice.
    No probs.
Does what it says and typical good Ibanez quality.

    ToneBlaster does the job

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

I have owned this for over a year. It does just what I expected it to do. Good tone, decent OD but not a Marshall. Not a tube amp either but a good practice amp that keeps the plaster on the walls. The CD input is good and the speaker stands up to bass runs from an MP3 or GB-2.

    Great little amp

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

I use this amp every day and it's great. High quality, good sound, amazingly loud for its size and great bass response for its size. I've used many guitar amps and this one has the best tone I've ever heard from an amp for anywhere near this price, the distortion is pretty good for rock, hard rock, and maybe even some punk in there. And the clean channel works great too. I also used it to run my bass guitar and my friend's mandolin and it always sounds great.

Better amps to be had at this price...

    By Sensei-c8L4q

    from Sewer

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

I bought one of these for my nephew as his first amp with one of those Epiphone LP Jr.'s MF was selling a few years ago. Struggled to get a decent clean sound out of it, and the distortion sounded like a badly EQ'd chainsaw. It now resides in a garage to one day be sold in a garage sale. I have other Ibanez products, a Soundwave 35 watt bass amp and an AEG10acoustic/electric guitar... both fantastic, but there are better entry level guitar amps out there (like the Behringer GM 108).

    IBZ 10 - Starter Amp

    By RDI^2

    from Mississippi

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

This was the first Amp I ever encountered as a musician, so it's hard to give it a subpar review. However, the IBZ 10 amp is a pretty nice amp for the price. I wouldn't suggest pairing it up with a really high class guitar nor would I really "beat it up" too, too much. I've had it for a few years now, and my only real complaint is that the input jacks plastic surrounds break off...but aside from that, it's a good starter amp, and won't ever get loud enough to disturb too many people if you're a beginner.

    Ibanez IBZ-10

    By StratFan567

Comments about Ibanez IBZ-10G Tone Blaster Amp:

My friend let me try this amp out with my Fender Squier Stratocaster Vibe 60 Electric Guitar. Quality is just above average and the sound is decent. I also used this amp with my friend's Fender Squier Bullet Strat and also used this amp with my other friend's Epiphone Les Paul Standard. This is a decent amp.
