my band mate has this amp, and ive the TBX150H. im so jealous! mine gets a ton of feed back and his is just godly... buy it.
i love this amp i own it and have only had great experiences with it. the only thing i would wish to change on this amp is that the clean channels are quieter than the distorted i recommend this amp to anyone who wants multiple sounds for a great price. Also the amp is 150 watts how could you go wrong with that kind of POWER.
Most other amps are an overpriced name, not Ibanez MIMX models. I just got an Ibanez Tone Blaster and the 2nd channel is top quality, the speaker is amazing. The EQ mid has a special hi-mid knob and you can dial in great tone immediately at all times. After reviewing the design of the MIMX and the prices, I am going to order 1 MIMX 150h head with 11 push button preset memories or in other words 11 amps and built in effects, 2 4x12 cabs, 2 foot peddles, and 1 65 watt model to travel with. Oh ya! Here comes tone and happy neighbors...
How do i even begin. My bandmate's brother bought him one. He should have gotten something way better for the money he spent. This sounds like absolute trash. We play in a Tech Deathcore Band and even after days of messing with EVERY kind of setting, it sucks. Just absolutely sucks for anything metal. Barely has enough gain even on the psycho channel. (unless you turn it up to full gain) And even then it sounds muddy and unclear as heck. For the money you spend, spend a little bit more and get a Spider 4. Or even better, a Bugera 6262. Don't let the effects fool you, they get old after a while.
I bought this amp and was expecting just a decent quality but this has produced a sound far better than any amp i have owned. it comes with cool effects that are very fun to mess with. the presets are very useful as are the built in sounds. the rhythm section is also nice, helps the music writing process. This is a must buy, the only this i wish is that the optional pedal came with it so the other effects are available.
Do not buy this after only the first 6 monthes my other guitar player had it the digital chip blew and he now has to send it back to Ibanez because it's under warranty. The amp overall has okay sounds but nothing to rave over. It will never replace any Marshall or any tube amp for that matter. It's great for your first half-stack but upgrade seriously.
I bought this thing about a month ago. it is freeking amazing. It blows any marshall I've ever played right out of the water. The combinations of sounds are endless. Whatever style of music you play this thing will work for you. do not hesatate, buy it. You will be extremely happy with it, I garuntee. It will be the last amp you buy. The price listed is a steal. Trust me just buy it.
I thought solid state sucked. I heard of this head and got it. I have a marshal 100 watt and a fender 69 original twin reverb combo. The mimx blows the doors off of them. What a LOUD monster pure 150 watts. So I guess tubes are bye bye for me. The only thing is the clan channel isnt that great. It is 60s clean and emphasised way to much bass.
