I purchased this amp to upgrade from my 10 watt Ibanez amp because I really like the way the little one sounds. I was pleased when I found this amp has the same great sound. This amp goes from the cleanest of clean tones to the most distorted tones and everything in between. I particularly like the boost function because on the clean channel with gain up the whole way, it provides an excellent natural distortion. This amp is extraordinarily loud for it's wattage, as well. It gives a lot of feedback if you turn it up too loud in a small space, but unless you're trying to make your ears bleed, you won't need it that loud in such a small space. Even when I play with a bass, tenor sax, and drums, I rarely put the volume over 2 for jamming. As soon as I have the money, I will be buying the extension cab too. The reverb is also good quality and can produce great, thick, surf-rock sounds. The footswitch is very convenient, and it is nice that it's included. If this amp got stolen, I'd definitely replace it right away, except maybe go half stack if I could afford it...

I jammed with this amp cause i didn't have one that day. I plugged in, everything went fine, started our song out with clean (i thought i was loud and great) when it was time to hit the overdrive channel, i couldn't hear anything. I was totaly drowned out. I like the amp, but it's just that the overdrive channel it too weak.

ok ,.. i've used name brand amps 4 times as much in cost as this amp, and the ibanez has a better sound..more tone, better clearity, sounds sweet as heck with distorted palm muting...Best amp ever!! :)
This is definately a great amp. All the features are just absolutely great. And especially the price. I was having a hard time finding an amp of the same quality at the price it is at! What ever you play, this can make it. I highly reccomend it.
I played this at a guitar store, and like the fact that you can get 2 basic sounds for a cheap price, sounds very nice, very good clean, a little feedback if turned up really high on boost, other than that really nice amp. I snagged myself one after playing it. I love this amp good, very loud, very nice.
i bought this amp because i needed something loud, and i didn't have enough cash for a marshall or a fender. on the positive side of things, it's pretty unbreakable, but that's probably a direct result of the sheer amount of mass on this blue whale of 2x12s. the tone sucks, the distortion is worse. my SG's tone is somehow turned into mush. this toneblaster will most definitely blast your tone.
My search for great tone and volume ended when I found this amp, I have have to turn it down to hear the drummer play, and in the studio I think I've found my sound
Great amp, not the best bluesy sounding amp though. Actually, not even metally sounding distortion, that's why I love it! On crunch, Turn the highs about half, mids 3/4 and bass 3/4 and you have a nice old-sounding Solid state distortion! Nice and raw. Like one said, not easy to get highs out of this amp, but possible.! EXCELLENT low end, amazing low end, makes you feel secure. Also, has a nice boost switch for powering in your leads and also use the boost switch for a nice added overdrive sound to your crunch.
I have owned this amp since september of 2004. It really puts out alot of sound and can get some reall heavy distortion but can also go to a AC/DC type vintage distortion. I have had no regrets buying this amp but one. There is quite some hum and noise when it's turned up loud and if that could be fixed I wouldn't buy any other amp but of course it can't so that is my only regret.
This is a great beginner amp. The reverb on it sucks, though, and the overdrive channel gives some feedback at high levels. I use a multi-effects processor throught the clean channel and get all the volume and tone I need.
I've owned a ton of amps, from combos to half stacks, and this amp is most likely the last amp I'll ever buy. Excellent clean, nice reverb and a huge crunch that will make pictures fall off the neighbors walls. Can't wait to buy the extention cab for even more of that awesome tone.
Really great amp great sounding clean channel and a great overdrive channel.
I just bought this amp today from a local music shop. I was debating between this and a Peavey Bandit 112 and after playing them both for a while. I decided to go with the Ibanez. I liked to hard crunching tone of the distortion and the clean channel sounds great. I recommend this amp to everyone
i think that that is one bad ass amp its got everything that a hard rocker needs good work
Let's just put it this way when ever i Play whit this baby full blast in overdrive mode i get the cops called on me from people down the street and it also stop the people next door from selling there home this weekend but i need to get the ext. cab
OK, I waited 2 months before submitting a review. This has all you need. Loud, crisp clear 2 channels, 1 clean, 1 distorted. Volume, gain, trebble and bass for each with great metal foot switch. Gig worthy. I play it through miced (shure 57) PA system at church and gigs with a Studio LP. Very clean at high vol. Wonderfull distortion, slightly weak reverb. Short of a quality tube amp with long, clear sustain this is great. Guarantee you won't regreat the purchase.
Excellent low-end, but highs/treble is hard to achieve. With proper settings you can get it though. Good amp
my band played a strange blend of punk and metal, and this amp fit that sound perfectly. i could play low end hammer ons and get the same clarity as when i played high punk style progressions. i love the distortion on this amp, it covered up the fact that i still played a squier up until last month. The 2x12 gave me plenty of power to play shows and to practice, and it is loud. I am at college now and miss this amp very dearly, if i could bring it here i would because it is just an awesome amp.
I have owned this amp for a year now and I have to say the quality you get for the price you pay is unbelievable! The 100 Watt 2-12" speaker amp pulls out plenty enough power to jam with your band anytime. You can also turn it down for quiet practicing. The headphone jack is extremely useful for practicing at 3 in the morning without waking anybody up. It comes with a 4 button footswitch to switch from the clean drive to the overdrive, a boost button for quick volume boosts, a mid-switch, and a reverb switch.I would recommend this amp to anyone who needs a "jamming with the band" amp. But if you need more power for those intense concerts, you can get this amp and its cab and that should be plenty enough power.
Got this amp Sunday and returned it today. Sounds pretty good at low levels but couldnt crank it up dew to the excessive hum and screeching. Used a noise gate and still didnt get a descent sound. Clean sounds good. Nice natural distortion. Trust me. Keep looking!
From the time I opened the box I was in love with this amp. It has beautiful styiling and a heavy-duty feel to it that lets you know this is no toy amp. Then I plugged it in and I was blown away. With the gain cranked on the lead channel this is a deep-voiced metal monster that still showcases the differences in your guitar and your individual playing style. On the clean channel with the reverb up it is capable of some very haunting mournful tones. And for the price.... It's unbelievable!
its a great powerful amp , has the technical sound i was looking for
