I have owned my TB25R for about a year and a half now. Pro's: You can definitely crank the volume way up for a 25watt amp; The reverb and the equalizer is a nice touch, both work fairly well; When activated, the overdrive produces a nice tone (for a solid state) Con's: Very hard to control overdrive. Unless you have an external distortion producing pedal, this is not an amp you should use for anything except practice, unless you don't plan on using a distortion at all; It is an Ibanez-- Their guitars are off the hook, but the company just doesn't have the experience that other companies like Marshall (!!!) or Peavy or even Fender has. Overall,as far as jamming in your room by yourself this is a great amplifier. Great for college students with not a lot of $$ or room to spare.

I suppose you could say that this is an alright amp for beginners, for the money. The clean channel is really pretty good, you can get some nice sounds from it. Quite unfortunately, the overdrive channel is really bad. It's ridiculously hard to control, and the feedback is outrageous. To get good distortion you'll have to get a boss pedal or something, but even then its hard to deal with the feedback. The reverb effect is pretty good. Also on the flip side, this amp will get REALLY loud for a 25 watt. Once again, this is a decent beginner amp for the money

The Little Monster

I believe this amp was my second amp I ever owned. I remember HATING it because I was a distortion junky, and the overdrive did not cut it for me... But I threw a Eminence Ram-Rod Speaker in it and also bought a Metal- Muff, and look 8 years later, it sounds BETTER than when I bought the thing o.o It really is a great amp... Untouched, the clean channel is beautiful, and the overdrive is good for blues... Still not loud enough to play over my drummer though.

Awesome little amp

By Reject

i've had this little amp for nearly 4 years now and it's still awesome loud as hell. The distortion sucks pretty bad but a Boss pedal or somthing can fix that.. but overall has great sound and is built like a tank it fell over in the back of my dads car really hard and still works to this day soo if your stuck to a budget i recomend getting this amp!

Ahh my old friend..

Jeez I have had this amp forever now (6-7 yrs? maybe 8), it's my second amplifier (first I bought myself). I have never had a problem with it , I have done soo much with this little amp. Everyone else is right too , it's fairly loud for what it is. I still play this amp all the time . Various tonal capability, very decent.

This thing rocks

By ejendres

This beast is LOUD! I jam with my drummer friend and with this amp on 75% volume we can both hear my guitar loud and clear (and we're about 6 feet away from each other). Not great for gigs, but it has a great tone. The overdrive sounds really similar to the BOSS SD-1, but its hard to control. If your looking for a great practice amp, or an amp to mic and use as a moniter, this is a great choice!

The Little Amp That Can

By EcIsGod45

I've been practicing, and even playing some small gigs with this little amp. The clean channel comes out with a nice thick sound when turned up. I can't say I've ever really had a problem with it over the last six years. The crunch can deliver a pretty good blues drive, although I generally run an effects pedal through it to get a solid sound. Fun for practice and possible small stages.

Good enought

By New begining440

This amp is good enought for practice but if you you want to play in small gigs or your friends is not enought. But has a great tone for practice and the reverb is better than other amps. Just good enoght to sustain you and excelent overdrive chanel.

great for the wallet

Being a family man, I'm limited on the funds, and this provided more bang for the buck that I could actually get past the wife. I recommend it.Great for just jammin' and getting the wife out of the house.

no amp is perfect but this is close

By Goochy-D4V.b

This little amp can put out some serious power. The size and price of this thing is way underrated. I would pay much more for this amp is a second. I started playing guitar and all i had was some piece of junk silvertone and a wanna be multi-effects pedal. My neighbor lent me this amp and i will always admire that. It puts out more crunch and kick that anybody would beleive even with the guitar i was playing it with. The distortion is alright i guess but i would prefer a boss pedal with it but be careful, this thing will kick some nasty feedback if your pedal's distortion or treble is too high. Buy this amp if you're a beginner, it's the best combo amp i've ever played, and that's comparing it to my buddy's marshall. Don't hesitate to buy this amp...
