This true bypass, two-stage overdrive pedal features incredible-sounding distorted tones for mean rhythms and screaming solos. The first stage is a straight-up Overdrive for adding gain to the front-end of a tube amp. The second stage is a "clean" boost to increase volume for solos, etc.
The pedal features independent control of overdrive and "afterburner" boost stage. The volume controls the overall output level, and the tone controls the tone definition. The overdrive knob controls the amount of OD for 1st stage. The boosts engage and control the level for the second stage.

I really like this pedal. It allows for a pretty wide range of overdrive options, and even has a pretty great full distortion. For whatever reason, no signal will pass through my pedalboard unless the first overdrive is on, but eh, no big deal. I would recommend this for someone building their first pedalboard or even improving, as this pedal really does have great quality!

Love this pedal and would replace it if I had to.
As said by others this is an overdrive not a distortion pedal. I'm a 50ish gigging musician at local clubs, we play mostly country or classic rock with some 80s-90s rock thrown in. In other words variety. I needed something to bump my leads beyond the realm of purely accoustic. Does this quit well with my Carvin accoustic-electric straight into the pa. Don't know what I would do without it. Really works well for me.
I've only had it a few months, but has been dropped a couple of times and no problems with it.
Seems to be a very good value, gives me the sound I want and is made of metal.

overall, i'm pretty well satisfied with my purchase. it does everything a TS clone is supposed to do," plus the added bonus of the boost option.
just FYI - for those who don't know what a ""Boost"" on a pedal does: it's just an added gain stage. there is NOT a huge jump in volume for solos or whatever. there is a BIT of a volume increase", but again...not a huge jump. it's just enough to make you stand out in front.
very above-average features and quality for the price. no complaints yet. used at multiple gigs and rehearsals.
seems to be of average quality. i have pretty high expectations of stomp boxes," though. everything i own gets gigged in the real world. so for me to say something is ""average"" is not a knock.
i think this product represents an above average value to a customer looking for a good dual-stage OD. this would be an excellent jumping off point for anyone interested in trying out a pedal with this feature set", or for anyone looking for an inexpensive option to take out to those gigs of questionable quality.

I have been reviewing this pedal for about a month on you tube. I got it for Christmas and use it with the Jet City 2112rc combo which by the way is a great amp. The pedal make this single channel amp a true rock machine now. You need to realize it is an overdrive so your not gonna get a metal sound with it unless you dime the preamp on the amp. But what it does do is add a sweet overdrive tone. The tone knob is great for matching the drive to the cleaner setting on the amp. I will say it seems to work better if you turn the volume on the box past 3 oclock, the boost seems to be more pronounced. It is well built and it will probably last me a life time. If you are looking for a great way to open up a single channel studio combo or make a bland gigger more functional I feel this was a great buy. Very natural overdrive.. I'm very happy.Hope this helps. By the way Jet City are great to deal with and from what I have purchased they have great product's for the money.
