Emphasis on little.. I got it to go with a 50 watt Crate GT500 amp head which I use to add tube flavor to my electric/acoustic and for electric as well. I needed something light and not too bulky to take to shows. It's perfect. It does have a nice mid-range flavor to it. As a matter of fact before the speaker got broken in with some use, it was too mid-rangy. After about a month of fairly light use practicing, it mellowed out to a much more balanced sound. The difference was most obvious playing an electric through it with a lot of drive. It's very nicely made. It has steel corners and grill. The vinyl covering is real nice too. It's dimensions are smaller than has been stated on the Jet city website and other websites. I think they got it mixed up with the JCA12S which is similar..? I gave it a 4.5 overall because I've only had it about six weeks, I'm very happy with it.

Great customer service.

It's a strong beautiful box but replaced the weak speacker with a V30 and the sound volume and clarity increased tremendously. Now it's a perfect match for my Picovalve! BTW threw the original speaker into my 6505+ 112 and it resides and sounds just fine there so no loss to me at all.

Comments about Jet City Amplification JCA12XS 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

Nice and compact. Lightweight. Exceptional price for a speaker and cab. An empty cab is usually this price. Sound is a little harsh but thats to be expected with such a small cab. The removable back panel is a good feature. To me, with it removed, it opens up the sound more. I use it mainly for in home practice. Built like a tank with corner guards and a metal grill.

Comments about Jet City Amplification JCA12XS 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

This was part of my equipment purchase designed at reducing weight and size for luggage and travel needs. This cabinet is basically the same length and width as an Epi valve jr. head. What I like most about it is that it will fit in a suitcase and is easy to haul. It sounds good and is very durable. If you are looking for a 12" speaker cabinet with the smallest possible size, I don't know how you could get any smaller than this. I am very pleased with the cab and now I might even examine one of the 333 heads to see if they are built as well.

Comments about Jet City Amplification JCA12XS 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

These make it EASY to transport and set up a high quality, ultra portable guitar rig anywhere!

This Eminence speaker really pushes the mid-range tones out front which is critical if you want to be heard in a concert environment.

I don't think you will find a better looking or greater built extension cab for this price. If you want to remove the Jet City sticker from the grill it does come off super easy.

One or two of these with a 30W "lunch box amp" means no back breaking set up!

          Outstanding!

Comments about Jet City Amplification JCA12XS 1x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I bought this to use in the studio, so that I could have an amp or head in the control room with the speaker mic'ed up elsewhere. This thing works great for that. So far I've used it with a VHT ultra six, as well as with a POD plugged into the ultra 6's effects return, using a multitude of different POD amp models thru the VHT's tube power amp. It sounds great in all cases; I don't feel that it needs more than the five watts I'm powering it with to sound like it should. But with a 70 watt capacity, you could certainly use it with larger amps. I don't know what the Eminance speaker inside is designed to sound like, but I like how it sounds - seems well balanced in terms of bass, mids and treble. Nothing honky or offensive. Plenty bright and not shrill.

I really like that by removing three screws, it converts into an open-back cabinet. It's compact in size and very easy to carry. Feels solid carrying it around.

I got one of these for my practice rig, which consists of a Blackheart Killer Ant and some pedals. Love it, sounds killer with this setup, once the speaker broke in.

I was hesitant about buying such a small cabinet. My orange tiny terror fits great on top.I took the three screws out to make it an open back cabinet and it sounds great. With only a tone control I have no problems with this sounding to midrange. You can't even buy an empty speaker cabinet near this quality for this price. I could not be more happy, open or closed back , small and easily portable, and the sound projection is great.

eminence custom driver similar to the swamp thang with a little less treble, great fenderish tone with vintage growl. since the speaker and pickup is the most important choice in your rig, w/ the right pickup for your style and a relatively transparent amp this little speaker can sound pretty cool. i use seymour duncan pickups (full shred in a squier tele custom), an EH 44 mag or an epi valve jr for testing. this speaker responded well to all. great value.
