I bought two of these based upon good things I've heard. Right away I noticed with the first one that in single mode it always registered the notes as slightly flat but in poly mode it was accurate. After a few months I started to detect a hiss from the amp when I tried to tune up, next it wouldn't work with a battery until finally it doesn't work at all. I never used it much in the first place, I bought it to use on a smaller board I made up with pedals I had around the house. Finally I took it off the board and am now using the second one..
I'd never use this on a board I took out of the house, it seems to fragile. The poly thing was nice gimmick but if I have to guess which mode is more accurate I don't really need it.
So far the second one is holding up ok but it'll never be anything other than a spare for when I want to noodle around the house without setting my main board.

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

This tuner is great for a quick diagnostic of your strings to find the problem. It also automatically functions like any other in-line pedal tuner (i.e. hit the low E and it displays a big digital E, with the capacity to adjust the string individually). It's remarkable really. If you're considering others. this is the onen to get.

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

I enjoyed it for the summer. First s hiss would form whether the tuner registered a note. Even from the tuner out on my amp. Then the button became non responsive. When we unplugged it, we had an audible change in the tone. This blows cause now I'm hesitant to buy korg again.

I own Korg Pitchblack and TC Polytune. In my opinion the Korg Pitchblack's large bright display is easiest to view quickly. Pitchblack is my personal favorite to look down and tune. Both are built to last.

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

This tuner still impresses me when i turn it on. How can it possible tune 6 strings with one fell swoop?! Strobe mode (mode 2) is incredibly visible and accurate. I haven't gigged it yet but with the great display I can imagine it working greafor outdoor and indoor gigs. Every performe should have a silent tuner, pretty psyched to have one of the better ones out there!

Wow! I just took the little sucker out of the box and its my favorite tuner already! I have other tuners to compare but this is my first poly one, and it really shines! I have the original Pitchblack, as well as Boss and Behringer tuners, this one is completely automatic, hit a note acts as a chromatic tuner, hit all strings and acts polyphonic, is the best of both worlds, highly recommended!!!

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

A must have as far as I'm concerned. Click on the switch, strum your guitar and you know if something is off or not. I can't say how accurate it is compared to some chromatic tuners. But it's close enough and being able to check all strings with one strum is a good convenience. Once you get it you won't go back.

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

This is a basic tuner that works like it should. I've never been super impressed with any tuners poly tune ability and this one is in the same boat. It kinda works but it's not the most accurate. You can tune each string individually and the display is huge and bright. The only con, and it's a big deal if you want it for this, is that the power out causes a terrible whine when used. And that's only powering one other pedal. And an overdrive at that. If you are just using this as a tuner though you not be disappointed.

Best of all, I can see and read it in any light, at any distance. It is accurate and helps me tune quickly. I use it as the first pedal in the loop and the mute is just as useful as the tuning. The poly feature of showing all strings at once is great for spot-checking throughout a gig - I use that often. It detects and converts the display from 4 or 5 string bass, to 6 string guitar, and even 12 string guitar. I've never had any tuner that does a better job of getting my Rickenbacker 12 string dead-on in tune. Plus the thing just plain looks cool.

Got this tuner when it was the Stupid Deal. The polyphonic function works pretty well. Not happy with single string tuning though, tracking seems slow, and it doesnt really pick up the low E at all. Also when I tune all the string to perfect pitch in single string mode, it says they're all sharp in poly mode. Still satisfied with it, just not as good as expected.

Got this as a SDOTD and it is it just fine. I will use it as a backup tuner if needed. It does not seem to be effected by high stage volumes like some others and it appears well built. I will keep my poly-tune as my main stage tuner, but have this one in my case if I need a back-up.

Comments about Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner:

I had the original Pitch Black and was very happy with it. I picked this up as the stupid deal of the day at Musicians Friend for 39.99. For that price it was well worth upgrading my existing tuner. Has all the same convenience plus an added one of not have to check each string one at a time. When you are playing live, this is a huge benefit. I would not hesitate to recommend this tuner to a friend.

I bought this pedal on sale for i really good price so I'm not going to knock it too bad. First, the casing is really nice. It feels pretty heavy duty, like its not going to break anytime soon. So far it does what it is supposed to do pretty well. My only complaints and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel the display could be brighter. Its fine for most uses but id imagine it would be hard to see if i ever did an outside gig. I use this pedal to tune my 5 string bass. It does great with the ADG strings but it sometimes has a hard time registering the E and almost always has a hard time registering the Low B string. It does get there eventually but wish it was faster. On sale it was a great buy but i would think twice about buying it at full price.
