Comments about Krank Rev+ 100W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
Let me start by saying I didn't know what to expect with this amp. With the negative vibes about false reviews and endorsees not using their Krank amps, I was concerned. I figured either the big boys have something to worry about and are planting bad info. or the amps are way over-rated. My son has a Road King and that is a great amp with almost unlimited versatility. This amp does what it does as well as any amp I've played.I'm more of a rhythm guy, think Malcomb Young, and this amp is the best rhythm amp I've played. It is dead quiet whether clean or distorted. The clean channel is not what you'd expect from a supposed metal amp. In a word great. I don't know how this thing does with metal because I don't play it. It's a couple of weeks old so I can't speak to its durability. I got mine at a good price so I can't honestly evaluate value but if your sound is what it's all about, I guess a couple of grand is reasonable. This amp has the feel of something put together in a garage with the best components they could get their hands on instead of a production line amplifier.Maybe the big boys do have something to worry about.
