Wow, what a dependable amp. You only need to turn up the distortion half way to nail VH Women and Children album tones. The clean channel stays clean with P.A.F. style pickups until the master volume is turned up past 2 o'clock. The speaker will fart and flap if you turn up the BASS knob past 12 o'clock, while using the distortion channel with the volume knob turned past 12 o'clock.
I own two amps, one Marshall 100watt for "bigger" playing, and this Kustom for traveling.I bought this because I needed a small amp I could bring to school with me without having to lug around my larger Marshall. It is a pretty versatile amp. You can get older classic tones out of the drive, and semi modern tones. The clean is also pretty solid. For a small amp it has a great sound. The only down side is the problem all small amps have. The settings on your Drive channel are the same on your clean (except for gain and volume). So if you have different preferences for your two channels you will need to change them.Over all I highly recommend this amp for a traveling amp. If you want something to bring to your buddies garage every weekend without having to lug your show amp around this is it. It also makes a great practice amp.
