I traded my peavy practice amp for this little Kustom, for a solid state it does have a nice warm tone. It plays smooth and gets a little dirty when pushed to far. If you are interested in a small practice amp then this is a good buy. Its a lot better then my small peavy practice amp......
If you are looking for a great basic amp with super clean tones. This amp is for you. Plenty of power for practicing at home. I never go past half power. Super clean sounds through the celestion 8" speaker. Quiet amp. 3 year warranty. All controls are very adjustable. If you want gain and more volume there is plenty there. Reverb is super. Not footswitch capable. (doesn't matter to me) Only a 5' removable power cord. The line 6, 15 watt unit I returned had an 8'power cord. This unit produces sounds cleaner and more realistic than the Line 6. Would highly recommend to anyone. If you want digital effects, go elseware. If you want to play real guitar, this is it.
I got this amp just this week, and it's perfect for jamming and small gigs. Great clean tone, nice overdrive/distortion too.sounds more like a 10" or 12" speaker than 8". They really hit this one out of the park.
This amp is a great practice/rehearsal/recording amp. Comes with a Celestion speaker (nice!).You would be fine doing a small venue (coffee house, pub), too. Don't let the size fool you - this amp is LOUD!!! With two of these you can gig in a small club.Clean channel - classic sounds from 1970s (BTO, Stones), 1960s Surf, 1950s rock & roll classics (LaBamba, etc), blues, C&W. Play a Strat or Tele through this and people will swear this is tube triven when they hear it.Dirty channel is excellent, also - and nails 90% of the 'Marshall Stack' tube driven tone. You can go as heavy as Aerosmith, Ramones, or maybe even AC/DC. (Not Metallica, though).Reverb is a little sub par, but at just over $125 how can you complain?I love this amp!!!
