The Kustom HV65 tube/hybrid 1x12 combo amplifier has two channels, each with Gain and Master Volume controls. This Dual Master system lets players easily get natural tube overdrive and compression on the Rhythm channel as well as the Lead channel, for even more tonal options. The HV EQ consists of passive Bass, Middle and Treble controls that are the same specifications as Kustom's award-winning, all-tube Coupe amplifiers. The HV65's speaker-emulated Direct Out and variable Volume Boost controls are also borrowed from the Coupe.
An all-new 24-Bit Digital Multi-Effects System has been created exclusively for the HV. It offers 16 high fidelity, programmable effects with increased flexibility thanks to "Tap" or "Toggle" functions for each effect, letting players fine-tune their choices. For example, Delay times, Reverb tails and Tremolo speeds can all be tapped to desired settings. Alternately, the Spring Reverb effect can be toggled between three different tonal selections reminiscent of the Coupe reverb; the Rotary Speaker can be ramped between speeds; and the Octave selection can be toggled to choose Octave Up or Octave Down. In all, the new HV65 Multi-Effects system provides stunning effects with unsurpassed flexibility, but without undue complexity.
New cabinet construction methods have been developed to enhance the resonance and musicality of the HV65 amplifier. In addition to crafting the cabinet to flex in response to the sound pressure, the electronic chassis is mounted in a way that doesn't impede the ability of the cabinet to resonate properly, an often overlooked element in the production of good tone.
The powerful Kustom HV65 combines 65 watts and one 12-inch Celestion. Visually, the HV65 sports vents on the top panel and a cool, rear-panel cutaway with mesh screen to view the preamp tube inside the chassis. Other details include new die-cast Kustom logos, jet-black grill cloth, white piping and black leather handles.
The Kustom HV65 Combo utilizes an exclusive new preamp circuit developed by James Brown, acclaimed amplifier designer and Kustom's chief engineer. The HV Series' preamp combines a 12AX7 tube - known for its robust tonal qualities - with solid-state circuitry known for its consistency and reliability.

This is a serious, professional amp for a very reasonable price. I use it regularly in church and daily at home. Clarity and volume are amazing.I have never turned it above half on the volume and if you use a decent cable like a Mogami Gold, there is no distortion nor hum. You won't be disappointed if looking for a powerful, light weight dependable amp.
This isn't a bad amp at all. I like the tube/solid state (Hybrind) I didn't think it was as expensive as it is. other than that its a really great amp.
The HV-65 by Kustom is a fantastic amp. Great solid construction and the 12AX7 tube makes it sound fantastic. Some good effects. The wah seems a little weak but this can be remedied. I play an LP custom and Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat thru it and there is no comparison to my old modeling amp. I would suggest buying a cover for this amp as mine did not come with one and the top vents will allow alot of dust in. A 12AX7 tube, 24 bit digital effects and solid as a rock at a price that won't break you. What more could you ask for?
Wanted a cheap but reliable tube-sounding amp to record, practice, and play every Sunday at my church (around 200 seats). Wanted something a little bigger than 30 watts, just in case a bigger gig opened up. This amp sounds good with volume low, but better when its straining a little. Added 4 ohm resistor in parallel with the speaker, along with an 8 ohm resistor in series, with a three way switch to allow bypassing when gigging. It all clips neatly inside the amp in the cabinet. It cuts the volume by around half and sounds great at bedroom levels. I like the effects, except for the Chorus which is very very weak. That is my only complaint. Has much more character than my bland '82 Peavey Bandit 65. I use it with Schecter C/1-EA, Fender Strat sss and an ssh. Has great clean-lean and warm sounds, and very Marshallish lead channel sound.
This thing is absolutely amazing! I sat down and played it with my Schecter C-1 elite and this thing just sang. It was just a joy to play through it. The features are just insane and I haven't stopped playing it. No complaints. Best amp for its price. The whole 9 yards. Buy this amp it rocks!
I finaly found my sonic soul mate after months of searching. If you have ever tried to search for a quality amp that you can play in your home, you will find that this is a difficult task. The Kustom HV-65 has a really big sound for the price. This amp is under priced for its quality and features. I play a Les Paul and this amp has near perfect tube tune that can be controlled. I love tube amps but they only have two volume levels one and eleven. The built in effects are 1st class. My favorite is the delay/reverb effect playing Pink Floyd's Money solo. You can actually do this at TV volume levels with perfect sustaian. Plug this thing into a 4-12 cabinet and you would swear it was a Marshall stack. The best of both worlds.
