The Kustom KG100HFX from the KG series is a classic, 100W guitar amp head. It offers 2 channels (Rhythm and Lead), tone controls, and digital effects. The amplifier head will work with a wide variety of speaker cabinets, delivering 100W of heavy, powerful guitar tone.
The Kustom KG100HFX amp head's Rhythm channel offers clear, dynamic tones that are perfect for a wide variety of musical styles. Using the Gain control, the Lead channel can dish out anything from chunky classic rock sounds to the heaviest, scooped metal tones out there. The amp head's separate bass, middle, and treble controls let players fine-tune the tonal response as required.
In addition, the Kustom KG100HFX amp head provides built-in reverb and delay effects that may be activated on the amp's front panel. Reverb can provide anything from subtle room ambiance to an all-out wash of cavernous sound. Delay is perfect for fattening up lead tones, especially when combined with distortion. The Kustom amp head's Chorus adds a shimmering, liquid-like quality to the sound, especially with chords.
Like every Kustom KG amp, the KG100HFX offers an auxiliary input for plugging in an MP3 or CD player to practice, and it features an 1/8" headphone input. Now you can use your Kustom KG100FX to practice along with MP3s all without the need for a speaker cabinet. Just plug in your headphones and rock.
An Effects Loop with Send and Return jacks provide flexibility for integrating external effects and processors. A single-function footswitch (not included) may be used with the Kustom KG100FX to switch between Rhythm and Lead channels.
All Kustom KG Series amplifiers including the Kustom KG100FX amp head provide a 5-year, transferable electronics warranty to give buyers extra piece of mind with their purchase.

I needed to grab an inexpensive head as I recently joined a new band. This amp is more than adequate considering how cheap it is. The clean sounds are really great, as is to be expected from Kustom. However it absolutely NEEDS a distortion pedal of some sort as the overdirve sounds are frankly quite horrible. The digital effects and reverb are pretty bad too. One other fault I have with it is that it has a fixed impedance of 4 ohms, and I'm presently running into an 8 ohm cab. I would've liked it to have switchable impedance. But if you're on a budget and need a powerful head, this will do. Just pick up a good dirt pedal and whatever other effects you like to use and run them into the clean channel. They absolutely will sound great!

I have owned this amp for at least nine months. I run it through four ten inch speakers by Raven and use a Delta Lab Processor. With the processor thiws thing really rocks! It pushes the speakers to the max. The sound quality is good. The clean channel on the amp head by itself is good as well. It is loud and sounds very good for a solid state amp. The distortion, however, sounds terrible. It is just too muddy to work with and has no overdrive at all. I do recommend this amp for people that use foot pedals though. It is perfect for beginners and practicing and some small gigs.

Rhythym channel sounds good. Lead channel not so good. If I could return it I would and go for a different model.

I am currently in a post-hardcore / metalcore band and was looking for a half-stack to start doing gigs with. My father got me this head along with the KG412 cabinet.The clean sounds phenominal but I had been looking for something a little heavier. However, for the price this thing is great. I am looking to buy a maxon OD808 which along with active pickups should provide an acceptable metalcore sound. It already has a decent punk sound which is useful for post-hardcore. The foot-switch is not included so you will have to buy one which are kind of difficult to find. Definately a good first half-stack.

Had a Marshal head which I left out in the rain and needed for a gig the next day. Call the music store and told them I needed a amp head that was inexpensive but not cheap sounding. It really delivered, I play gospel jazz and I own a Ibanez hollow body. I've played through a lot of different heads that were more expensive but this gave me the cleanest, smootest sound I ever had. I'd recommended to any guitarist.

Straight forward amp. Get the tones I need on either channel. I have three guitars a Les Paul, a Strat & a Tele and they all sound great. It is loud enough to play in almost any venue. Kustom has done a good job with this one. Great investment for the money.
