Don't want to lug a halft stack, but still want to be heard during practice or small gigs? And at a good price - then get this combo amp. Had mine over five years and IT GETS THE JOB DONE and has sufficient volume.
Have had a quad 65 for 3 years. Never let me down. Has rich tone and flexibility for acoustic or electric.
Good for gigs with DI output and speaker out. Clean and lead channels. If you can find one used get it.
I did and I love it. Solid construction and small footprint. Best money you will every spend for a combo amp.

- Was this a gift?:
I had this amp for a while, This thing rawks! It is great for grunge and if you have one, It needs to be 1/2 up becasue that's when it sounds best. For a unknown company they did pretty well.
I have this amp and it's #$!*%% bad#@$! This amp rocks! I give it a 10+
This amp is not a brand name amp, therefore the price is low. The tone that comes out of this amp is amazing. I play my Fender Strat through this amp and it comes out with some smooth, warm tones similar to an all-tube no BS amp.
This amp is a great deal. I didn't really like the distortion, but you can just crank up the gain all the way and hit the boost and it does the trick. That might just be me though, since I like a lot of distortion. I recommend using the lead channel as a distortion channel and using the rhythm channel as a clean channel. The effects are really good and if you're looking for just a good amp with some effects, this is the one to get. Overall, this amp was a great deal and it does the trick for practice or small venues like a club or something.
It's very nice, it has very nice clean sounds and hard distortion!
I've been playing for a little over 2 years, I play with a schecter 006. And it sounds hecka good!! It's also the best fo the money, It's also not really a name brand like Gibson or Fender, which makes the price go down alot, Gibson or fender could put there name on a P.O.S. and people would buy it just for the name, But if you really want something that works and your lacking a lot of money, then I would definitely buy this amp!!
i went to music land, tried out a 2 peaveys 3 fenders and a crate, prices were a little much so i decided to take a chance on this one cause of good reviews, these reviews were definatly right!, this thing can crank some tunes!, with the 2 footswitchable channels it makes it easy in a live situation and is undoubtedly loud enough, it sounds like a tube amp!!, perfect for my standards which are pretty demanding, and with the effects thrown in, it couldn't be better, the 2 reverbs are incredible!, to sum this amp up, its got everything you need and more, including volume,(get the kustom footswitch, its cheap and makes it a lot easier), my friends tried to talk me out of it, saying its not a big brand, dont listen!, its better than most expensive amps
This amp really surprised me. I tried about a dozen amps in the store, then bought this one when I heard the tone. It is quite frankly, one of the best sounding small amps I've ever heard.
This is a great amp at a low price. I play it through rather low-quality guitars and it sounds like a high-end Gibson. The effects are a nice addition. The distortion isnt great unless you turn the amp up to loud volumes, but otherwise its just okay. I use it for gigs, just use the line out for your P.A. A great amp with a great price. Buy it.
Even though I don't own a great guitar, my guitar sounds great through this. for the price you can't beat it, it bascially has 9 built-in effect pedals. it has a really great sound on it, the amp is just all around perfect.
I have owned this amp for about two years now. The celestion speaker is top notch even at the higher volumes. It is a great purchace but before you do, check out the volume knob. The volume on my amp does not raise in a linear fashion. At a quarter turn, it will be at an OK volume if you live in an appartment, then 1-2 degrees further to the right and its blowing your hair back. There is no in between. I'm looking for something similar. Everything else about it is exellent!
For the price you can't really go wrong. I've had the amp for a few months and it's held up well. I play at low volume in the house and turn it up for practive/live use with satisfactory results either way. The effects are alright, but I don't really use them except for hall reverb and chorus on clean. The clean channel sounds very good and the lead channel sounds nice for solos and such. It does lack a little distortion for metal, but it's alright for most other kinds of rock. My only complaint is the fizz at high volume and the lack of distortion, but otherwise, it's a pretty nice amp.
LOUD LOUD LOUD.....The amp has a great value for the buck. Fit and finish is flawless. Inputs, loops and back panel options are great! Did I mention loud? The crunch comes at high volums only so be prepared to crank it past five to get the tone. Low volumes ring clear and bright. Effect as some of the best I tried especially spring reverb. Instruction manuel is sparse. Very few details or wiring layouts. When the volum is over five there is some white noise In the background but does not effect the tone when the amp is being driven. Has both effects loop inputs but I chose to feed my drum tones into the CD input from my AX100G. Did I mention louder than any 65w amp I tried? I is really a four chanel amp when you add in the preamp options. Footswitch switches channels and effects on and off. Hardware is of the best quality. Knobs feel solid and everything is mounted perfectly. The box it came in was beat up pretty bad so be sure to check your shipment. Mine was fine. The lows this thing kicks out could not be handled by anything less than the celestion speaker the mounted in it. Other than a little white noise it is perfect.
the distortion is great and the clean channel is crisp. compares grealty with friend's fender amp.
I've had this amp for about 3 weeks now and have played through it with a Tele, Epi Les Paul and an old Guild Starfire 4. The dirty channel is OK, not great, although the boost button certainly does what it's supposed to if you're into really rattling overdrive. The clean channel is great. Crystal clear and plenty loud for small gigs or practice. The footswitch is still back-ordered but it'll be cool to be able to go between channels and kill the effects when necessary. The amp looks very retro and the Celestion 12" sounds sweet, especially in the lo-mids and the highs. The effects are ok. The tremelo and the hall reverb are pretty nice but you can do better with pedals for the other 6 choices. The grill is more like a yellow/wheat color, different and better looking than the photos you'll find on the web. The control panel is very cool looking too - shiny chrome knobs with brite blue indicator lights. Kustom makes some good stuff and this amp is a total steal for the price.
This little bugger can CRANK out the sound. I have found it to be very versatile and full in its sound. It was very easy to bring out a nice bluesy overdriven sound, a distorted 70s sound and a modern crunch. The clean channel is beyond description in its simplicity of tone shaping and the crystal clear tones that emanate from the Celestion speaker. Sounds great with either humbuckers or single-coil pickups. Highly recommended combo.
I have the Kustom 200DFX Quad head which I love, so it wanted this amp for portability. Great design and it rocks! Nice warm bottom end like a tube amp. Plenty of bass which you can turn down (other amps with no bass will never sound full because the bass is lacking to begin with). Distortion is articulate with plenty of gain which is enough for me. I turn the gain all the way up (like Marshall's) and it's perfect for sustain and clarity. This amp will not produce insane distortion levels which I think are mushy and thin at loud levels anyway. It can produce a tight low crunch which will shake the room! The effects are handy with the reverb and hall extremely accurate. My only gripe (are you reading this Kustom?) are the shiny knobs which I swapped out for black knobs with white markers to see the control panel settings.
