OVERVIEW

A mighty half-stack amplifier for heavy, modern rock tones.

The Kustom QUAD JR. Half Stack features lead and rhythm channels (footswitchable with optional footswitch) with 2 high-gain preamp choices in the lead channel and 2 clean preamp selections in the rhythm channel. Tonally, its circuit has been modified to provide increased gain and tight low-end response. The result is a half-stack that excels at heavy music but still has the versatility to deliver warm, clean sounds and crunchy, medium-gain tones.

I have to admit, after years of looking and chasing tone, buying gear in hopes to get my tone my way, I have found an amplifier that gives me BALLS, Literally at the twist of a knob and push of a button. Clean- sounds more tube like than any amp I have heard OTHER THAN A MARSHALL, that said its Glassy and smooth with good treble bite but no overly done. Bass is quite solid and tight. Mids are awesome, well balanced, this is something I look for in amps in a good midrage sweep. Lead Channels go from bluesy dirty ZZ Top to ACDC with simple adjustments. Turn the gain up AKA BALLS Knob, and push the button for "BIGGER BALLS" and you can get Metallica, Early DimeBag 1990's. The Mids are well defined and tight, Bass rocks my socks gives me a VERY SOLID CHUNK. Treble Bite Is Insane. This is what sold me on the amp with just a guitar plugged in. I also picked this half stack up for 428.00 NEW at a shop. I have had it 3 hours and I havent wanted to stop. I have played Fenders FH100 and DID not like the dirty channel with a Boss MZ. was not what I thought I would be able to achieve. I also played the Crate 100 watter also, same thing, just louder. Played the Marshall half stack for about this. Yeah good bang for the buck but the amount of digital noise and sounds that come from it I didnt like.Go for this amp. dont let its size fooool you. I am blown away with the sound, TUBES RULE and even though this is not a tube amp its sounds DAMN close to it.

I got this about a month ago thinking I would get something to Jam on at home. One thing, for the price I got ripped. After I bought it and played around with it for a long while, I went to the local music shop to compare it. I found an Ibanez amp stack that blew it away for way cheaper!!!! plus it came with a four switch foot switch!!! I am not telling anyone not to buy this, but please take your guitar down to the local shop and test drive the lower priced amps before making a mistake like I did!!!! Now I wish I had!

Cheaper than a Marshall...

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

I really like this amp. I play Punkabilly instrumentals, and this thing does the trick. If you roll back on the midrange, it sounds almost like a Marshall JCM 800. Plus, it's really light and easy to cart around. I think it's a good buy for an inexpensive, solid state amp.

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

I got this amp a while ago, because I ordered a Line 6 half stack with my local music store owner, and he said to try this amp out instead. I'm so happy that he showed me this amp, its so awesome. Theres never a reason to go past 4 on the volume switch, its seriously LOUD. The wheels become very convenient because the cabinets very heavy. You have many options with different preamp settings and 8 different effects. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a footswitch, all amps should with more than one channel. But whatever, you can always buy one.If you're on a tight budget and looking for a great amp, you're lookin at it right here.

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

Well let me tell my story of how I got this head. I moved in with my mother and my dad said I can't have the amp he gave me. So my mother took me out and bought me this at a local music store! First of all.....Number 1LOUD!!!!! No need to go past 3.....unless your playing Ozzfest. Number 2 The clean sound is not quite like a fender amp....but it is the best you can get besides that fender tone.....you can also make it very bluesy or very thin if you choose. NUmber 3 The distortion is best when your using a guitar with EMGs..but normal humbuckers will get the job done.....you can scoop the mids pretty good.....the eq is passive so theres not an amazing amount of contouring to it....but its good enough to play just about anything....and the speaker cabinet is pretty much my favorite...I also have an old Laney Cabinet from the 70s with the original Celestions in it!!!! But this cabinet blew it away!!! This cabinet is about five pounds lighter than the regular Kustom cabinets but the head isn't heavy at all around 20 pounds maybe 23. So its an excellent choice for almost any musician...all in all I gave it a 9 because the effects are great but there are no options to each effect just on or off. O well for the price you can't beat it!!!!!

Most Powerful 100 watt ever!

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

This amp stack has a great quality to the sound. (Impossibly beutiful quality for the price...) It's great for anything from Blues to Heavy Metal. Not just that, but because the QUAD JR. head focuses all its power on one amp, just having one cab will make it just as powerful as having the full stack. Playing in a gig, this thing was killing my friend's Marshall MG100HGFX

Punchie but not wallet breaking

By Brant

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

I bought this amp cause I got tired of waiting for the Line 6 to come in at the local music store. Boy am I glad I did. This is lovely little half stack. Doesn't quiet handle the deep lows as well as some but with a little cab tweaking it sounds like a beast. Very clean and rich tone for a solid state amp. If you want a Marshall but don't want to break the bank, this is the perfect amp.

Amazing Solid-State Amp.....

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

I needed a half-stack to cut through the mix at band practice, so I picked this up used for $400. This little amp is loud as hell and the FX, although you can't modify them, come in useful for "here and there" situations. With a Boss EQ run through the "FX Loop" it literally sounds like a tube amp. I use a distortion box 'cause the head dist. isn't as heavy as I needed, but it's good. This amp is a workhorse and won't let you down!

MESA BOOGIE IN SOLID STATE FORM!

Comments about Kustom QUAD JR. 100W Half Stack Guitar Amplifier:

To me, this thing sounds just like a Mesa! If you've ever listened to lamb of god then and played this amp then you would know that you can emulate their exact sound from this amp! Don't let the tiny head fool you, this thing pumps out better sound and more low end then my valveking! I would sell the valveking to buy this amp any day of the week. They are both great amps but if you're looking for an amp that can give you the perfect sound to shred with, then this is your amp. It is very versitile , and it's not a hassle to carry around becuse it's relatively small for a half stack. All in all, BEST amp for the price. End of story.
