Sized and priced right, it's a great little rehearsal amp.
A surprisingly robust 16W RMS amp section drives an 8" Celestion through dual selectable lead and rhythm channels. 3-band EQ dials in your tone while CD/tape input and headphone jacks let you practice along with recorded music without bugging neighbors and housemates. The analog reverb gives you big, spacious sound that belies the compact size of the Solo 16R. A speaker out lets you drive an external speaker for bigger sound.

I have played a Fender Strat and my Chandler Austin Special through this little amp - both sounded full and clear. I've paid five times thhe amount for a Marshall Studio 15, which pales in comparison.
I own this amp and you cant beat the value and sound you get with this amp. Great for practice but thats about it. The Distortion sucks but i have a digi tech grunge peddle, clean channel is amazing i blow my other guitarist 30watt Drive away Buy This Amp!
This amp is very good I really like it but the distortion on it is not good but a few pedals could solve it. I added a Digitech RP100 to this amp and the thing rocks. It's really loud too. If you want an amp get it but only if you have a pedal for distortion. Really good amp. Get It!
This is my first amp and I've had it almost a year now. I can get all the tones I want out of it, clean and dirty, and the reverb adds a little bit extra so that the amp is not just a box making sound. As for volume, it does fine playing solo, but don't know if it will hold up over drums. I've had a lot of fun with this amp, and I would recommend it to anyone just starting out. Good one to learn on because their isn't a whole pile of effects and models, so you don't get lost endlessly turning knobs and tweaking.
Amp so good, I was suprised. May take it out on the road. The best my tele ever sounded (I play les pauls). les pauls sound good, too. very versatile. could use a foot switch for channel switching. Don't care for the reverb, but that's O.K. cause I don't use reverb anyways.
