Gold plated switches and no ground loops.

P-Split stands for "passive splitting" with maximum signal fidelity. With the Lehle guitar pedal, one instrument can be routed to two amplifiers simultaneously. Output A is electrically isolated from Output B by the Lehle LTHZ high end transformer — so ground loops are excluded from the start. In addition, the Lehle P-Split also features a gold-plated-contact phase-reversing and ground switch.

Lehle LTHZ

The Lehle LTHZ is a ferrite core transformer consisting of two coils with very high inductivity with minimal scatter. It is ideal for the galvanic isolation of high-impedance signals.

1 The input signal should be fed into this jack. The Lehle P-Split operates purely passively. The input signal remains continuously connected to outputs A and B with no semiconductors or any other active component in the signal path.

2 The input signal and its ground are directly present on jack B.

3 This switch can be used to rotate the phase of the input signal on output A through 180°. Shifting the phase may help if phase cancellations have a negative effect on signal reproduction.
4 Pressing this switch connects the grounds of outputs A and B.

5 The input signal is present on jack A, electrically isolated by the Lehle LTHZ (7) high-end transformer.6 The base of the Lehle P-Split can be secured without difficulty. First remove the four housing screws for the cover, and then screw the base of the switch to a base-plate using the two screws supplied with the unit, the washers and the spacer elements.

7 The Lehle LTHZ is a ferrite core transformer consisting of two coils with very high inductivity with minimal scatter. It is ideal for the galvanic isolation of high-impedance signals.

This splitter was not cheap, but totally worth it. I use to it to split my bass guitar signal into 2 amps. There is no coloration or signal loss...get one.

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

Got this after reading all the good reviews. Big mistake. As soon as I plugged it in I heard 3 radio stations in the background. Changed guitars, amp, outlets, and cables to no avail. Called MF just to be told it is non returnable. Money I might as well threw away. I will never shop here again.

      Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

It's a guitar signal splitter that splits the signal exactly. No hum, no loops.
Transparent. Easy to use. It introduced nothing to my sound which is perfect!
Solid and cool looking and small.
a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

I purchased this item for recording a dry (for future re-amping) and amplified signal at the same time. Works perfectly; no hum, super clean signal. It is definitely worth the money!

      A great splitter

      By Druuna

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

I originally bought it to split my bass guitar signal into two separate amps. To run one with and one without effects. For me it works flawlessly, it's very rugged, uses no power and takes up very little space. It is kind of pricey but it is a very high quality unit.I've also used it in many other situations, it can be a handy little life saver. I can't imagine not having one now. I keep it in my gig bag even if I don't plan on using it - just in case.

      Clean and Clear

      By Dude77

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

I use this for recording, sending 1 out to an effects processor and the other to my mic'd amp. No loss of signal at all and both channels have absolutely no discernable difference from when they are plugged in individually. I've never had to contact customer support, but my understanding is that Lehle (the owner) will answer an e-mail personally. Cannot be happier with the performance of this simple box. It gets a 5/5 on "features" for NOT having drag control, equalization and a bunch of other stuff the Radial box has that makes what should be a simple endeavor far more complicated.

Finally and End to 60 cycle hum!

      By Brian 'Prong'

      from Phoenix AZ

Comments about Lehle P-Split Splitter Guitar Pedal:

Finally and End to 60 cycle hum when running 2 amps at the same time. It's not a 'pedal' or effect and there is nothing to step on...nothing to color your tone. No Batteries or power needed! It just lifts the ground loop and gives you a 180 phase switch if your amps are out of phase.Since I play 2 amps at the same time (not A/Bing) I get our old friend Mr 60 Cycle hum. The kind that makes your speakers go 'BFVVVVVVV' and was VERY annoying..this lifts the ground and you're done. No knobs to tweak. Gave it 4.5 on value just because it's a little pricey. Do you have 60 cycle hum from ground loops? Then get this trust me.
