I read some not so favorable reviews of the FX100. The key with any multi effects processor is... learn how to use it. The pedal screams sound and quality. Construction is rugged to gig with. I use it in conjunction with an IPad Pro. I read here people frustrated about using the app in a live setting to switch between patches. FYI that is what the programable banks are for. Interface is clean- pre loaded patches are decent, but it's all good foundation to start with and build your own sound around them. An overlooked feature is the quality of using the wah pedal. It's a dream not to have hissing. To be able to stack effects with no ugly feed back is just mint. I dig this over the HD500X which I once had, the software program for that pales in comparison.. clean sound on recordings too.

If you plug it into a 10 watt marshal, don't expect a wall of sound. It's a beautiful complemtary piece to gear at its level of quality.

Buy it, build sounds. Have fun.

I purchased this product last summer from MF and thought I would give it a try. My main floor board is a HD500X Pro and I have it connected to a Line 6 DT50 stack and I like the sound of it but I don't always want to haul the stack and the thought of being able to switch things up via my iPhone was appealing to me. I use this with my Fender Blues Deluxe and it is adequate. The models that are pre-programmed are meh. The ability to download tones specific for songs is pretty cool however the tones are a bit lacking. The amp models are fairly inaccurate, especially the gain. This is good for using at home to mess around with but aside from that, if it were to break, I would not repair or replace it.

Got this for stage in cover band. Tone cloud is great. Find the patch you need for a certain song and save it. Tweak it if necessary. Once you save them it's simple. All on your ipad (or iphone). No bending over knobbing or stomping away in between songs. Setlist on ipad in order. Just tap and it loads the tone via Bluetooth. Seconds between songs no distractions. Sound quality is line 6 great. This will replace a lot if your boxes. If you do covers ( originals) this is a must have

Had an Amplifi 75. Not Loud enough.Sold and bought Amplifi 150. Great sounds, but you need to get the additional foot pedal Control. I run my new Amplifi Fx100 through my Atomic Amp. You get 100 Presets, plus additional sounds through the tone cloud. I love it. Fun to change presets through the Amplifi App..VERY Easy to use, and gig ready..

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I love the ability to access my music library and find tones similar to EVH, Foo Fighter, Hindrix etc. Some of the tones aren't close, but it's so easy to tweak the effects from the app, and then save them as my tones for easy use. only down-side i'm finding is that you can't turn off the individual effects from the pedal board, only the app. this creates a challenge when playing live.
I'm still learning how to use it though, and have been amazed at the sound quality for this price.
Definitely recommend you give this a try.

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I'm a drummer turned guitarist. I wanted to start playing with my sound, but the sheer number of choices and the cost of the ubiquitous little brick stomp boxes was not something I wanted to get into. As many others have said, this thing makes playing more fun, and right away.
Here's the thing about this box—I figured the app would be an add-on nice-to-have that I wouldn't use that much. In fact it's very well done, it's fun to use with the box, and it's virtually a necessity to get what you want out of it. Call me skeptical, but the fact that this package delivers on its app-hardware integration synergy claims was the biggest surprise for me.
Aside from being a much more detailed control panel, the app is also an interface between sounds in Line 6's cloud and the hardware. You can search and find a sound, then switch your box to that sound's settings with a tap. If you like the sound, you can save it to your iOS or Android device, to access it faster. And if you really like it, you can use the app to assign it to a hardware button.
The hardware itself is fine. Feels solid enough to gig with, but I've only had it a couple of days. From what I've seen, I wouldn't trust the app/bluetooth in a live setting. But you can use the app to assign your tones exactly in the order you want them on the device, then turn off the bluetooth so you're just using the hardware and onboard firmware.

I run the pedal through a 1990's Peavey classic stereo chorus 130. It has changed the sound of that amp to the point that I will keep it. It was for sale. I love the fact that the pre written patches can be tweeted to my liking and then saved with those changes in the same patch. Nice for different types of music I play.

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

The AMPLIFI FX100 is a fun multi-effects unit to jam around with. The ability to download "similar to" tones from the cloud is fantastic. Some of them are worthy, while some need help. It's easy to use once you get it up and operational, which in and of itself was quite the undertaking. I had zero success getting this unit to play nicely with an android based tablet. After nearly 4 hours of futility I was ready to pack it up and send back, but decided to give it one more shot with an Apple iPad Air 2. I had to immediately download a firmware update that took almost an hour, but I finally got it up and running.

I'm having a blast jamming to my favorite tracks streamed through bluetooth, and the headphone jack means my wife won't kill me anytime soon. I've bought myself a stay of execution.

I would recommend you give the AMPLIFI FX100 at go, but be ready to experience some minor pain getting to work as advertised.

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

This thing really has some great tones in it. Line6 did a great job getting the feel and tone of amps and cabs as well of the various pedals.

I love being able to control it through my phone of tablet. Being able to change anything about the sound at the tap of the screen. This is where it is at and what this is what it is meant to do. If you don't want to use a phone or tablet get something else.

Also works great to play music to jam along with. You can adjust the balance of the music and your guitar to suit your liking. Get a decent set of headphones and the sound is fantastic. I mean really good, I got spoiled by it, didn't want to even run through an amp for awhile because the headphones sound so good.

Running it through a Carvin SX300 (100w 2x12 Solid State), clean channel with onboard effects turned off. Sounds really good no matter what kind of tone I send through it. Took me awhile to get the amp and FX100 adjusted to work really well together, but was worth it when done.

Cons - Sometimes when I hit a switch to change from one pre-set to another there is lag and noise like when you plug in your guitar while the amp is loud. I am hoping a firmware update might fix this. It doesn't always do it, but when it does it screws up your timing while playing and switching. When you hit it, say going from clean to dirty, you expect it to change immediately, but then it doesn't. That is disappointing. This why I gave it only 4 stars. If I were a gigging musician, this would totally be a deal breaker. Maybe it is just mine, maybe I need to call Line6 and see if there is a fix for it or get it replaced... If it gets fixed or replaced and no longer does it I will come back and give it 5 stars without any issue.

That being said I really do love this thing. I would buy it again even if the above issue was a product wide flaw. The variety and quality of sounds you get are tremendous, even more so for the price.

I play country and classic rock in a band, most country guitar players like a compressor first in the
chain followed by the volume pedal etc.you cant do this on the fx100 come on line6 guys I can do this
on my 25 year old AX212 amp you guys seemed to gear mainly for metal players.Seems to me you
could do a firmware update to include this another dumb thing,if you tweak the controls on the top
panel, there is no way to save them without blue tooth. would be nice if you say, add more gain when
your playing live, hit a save button on the unit and save that change on the fly, like I can on my Mustang 3
Line 6, you came so close to building a great low cost unit for the poor working musician!

Anyone that complains about complexity of this unit leaves me shaking my head. I am 51 years old and find this to be one of the most versatile and easy to use effects pedals I have seen or used.

Dial in a tone via the cloud for any given guitarist, choose the closest that you can find, tweek if you like, save it locally and you're all set. With 25 banks of 4 individual tones you can save up to 4 different tones for a particular song, assign banks to set list, song arrives, increase bank by one, play the song, increased bank by one, play next song, etc...

If you have your iPhone or iPad connected via Bluetooth, you can quickly access alternate tones and models simply by selecting from a previously saved list.

I route the pedal board through a Roland JC-120 set clean and let the Line 6 do all the dirty work. Only complaint; the Wah Pedal takes some getting used to as the main action is in the first third of travel. Not much of a complaint, huh?

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

I borked my back a few years ago, and hauling around the Mesa Mark IV is just not feasible anymore. Add to that the fact that the thing is about 4x louder than I need it to be to play little venues in Tucson. This little gem, which fit perfectly in a pedal case I had, goes straight to the PA. Most of the effects have both stereo and mono versions (I have been going mono, for the sake of simplicity, but the stereo effects are very nice). Sound quality is very nice. I have only a few settings in right now- clean, distortion, and a lead distortion setting (little more reverb, touch of delay, and a bit more chutzpah to cut through the mix). I have nothing but good things to say about the sounds this unit can put out. Might also be good to mention- this will work for bass as well. Case is steel, triggers are sturdy- for what you pay, you get a really nice unit.

Lotta complaints about the bluetooth from other users- what can I say, Bluetooth is flakey by nature. Sometimes the Iphone will link up, sometimes it wont. If you tweak a setting, then turn off the phone, then change your mind right away, the software gets a little... willful?... and won't always connect quickly. Despite what you may have read, THIS IS NOT A UNIT YOU'RE GONNA WANT TO TWEAK ON THE FLY AT REHEARSAL/GIG. Trust me on this. Tweak it at home, and don't even mess with settings at the rehearsal/gig. Same goes for the tuner in the app. Just use yer good ol trusty tuner pedal- that bluetooth will flake on you, and you won't be able to tune up!

The included tones were ok- not stellar. The tones on the cloud are not usable right out of the box- they were all designed by different users, so they are all at different levels, and most of them are not very good, Just take a day to futtz with the controls and design your own- it's not that hard, and you'll get a more consistent spread across your pedals.

Comments about Line 6 AMPLIFi FX100 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

Works great as a practice tool into my power FRFR rig. I could gig with this. The hardware functions are very simple, the power is in the extremely easy to use AMPLIFi Remote application. Finding, creating and editing patches works great. I found several usable factory presets, and many others in the cloud (though I tweaked to my liking, and for my guitars / FRFR rig). Sounds very good given it is older modeling technology.

Will not change tones. "unable to load presets. please try again". Thats it. I tried to use it at a gig once... nope would not load a single tone. It's junk. A toy- and not in the good sense. Gimmick that doesn't even sound very good if you can get it to load anything at all

Pretty new to this device. WiFi connection went smoothly with iPhone 4S and all features worked. The connection to my Fire HD went smoothly as well, but I can't seem to download the jam tracks. They aren't that good anyway. If Line 6 is listening, the Amplifi needs a USB port so that you can play files loaded via memory stick.
