I bought this for 39 dollars at a guitar center. If you were to buy this and use it for its effects in front of your amp or something that wouldn't make much sense. For 40 or 50 bucks i would hope that you wouldn't be expecting anything incredible. I bought this so i could plug in headphones and practice at night, quietly. With the headphones plugged in it sounds very decent. Like i said for practice purposes, especially with the unit plugged in with headphones, i was rather surprised at first because i wasn't expecting it to sound as good as it did, for the money, its worth it. I don't really look at this as something that should be used for recording purposes or anything other than practice. Its just simply not up to parr for that. But for 40 or 50 dollars what else like this is??

It doesn't have a lot of features but it doesn't necessarily need them. It does sound good. While it works....
The first one didn't work at all. I returned it for another one. It worked for 4 months and then just quit working. It was never dropped and treated gently. Junk.
There is no value in something that doesn't last longer than 4 months.

Get real guys- this Line 6 Pocket Pod is inexpensive and small. Treat it with care and only expect what it is designed for. Buy it, use it and enjoy it. In this industry you can pay thousands for tone altering equipment while this one will give you some good vibes for about the price of a steak dinner.

I bought it on stupid deal day and another one danelectro delay. Even though they claim the other is good for Scotty Moore delay, I find this one to be better and more authentic, plus you can change the length of the delay. I found I can use my Boss power supply as a power supply for this, which is an optional purchase. I was surprised to find that with an output plug, the effect is in stereo. Nice bonus

This pocket amps major accomplishment is to make me miss the Boss Play Bus I bought in 1983. I picked it up on the Stupid Deal of the Day. For what I paid for it I'm still not happy. Glad I did not pay full price for it. How is it that 30 years after the Boss Play Bus Line 6 can not come close to the clean and drive tones of that much missed gear. I'm going to dig it out and fix it at all cost.

              Cheap Practice Unit

Comments about Line 6 Pocket POD Express Multi-Effects Processor:

This unit is barely acceptable for practice. It is extremely hard to get a variation of tones. Tried it by itself, in front of a small Fender amp, with the amp fed to a mixer. Tried it direct into the mixer. Can't get a variation in tone unless you continually increase the volume to a point where it's too loud. The reverb is barely detectable. Nice unit to give to a kid for his first effects unit.

Comments about Line 6 Pocket POD Express Multi-Effects Processor:

It was on sale. Hard to pass on. Considering one of those headphone amps are more expensive than this, makes it a great deal.

Multiple amp tones, multiple effects, and delay and reverb. There is a lot to play with in this liitle rig in a box.

The backwards markings is referring to the fact that the tweed and crunch amps seems to be labeled backwards.. NO BIG DEAL. just sharing that info...

Great for practice along with your songs, volume is great.

I have not plugged it into an amplifier as of yet, but I do not expect it to sound the same when I do.

I bought the unit because of the Line 6 name. I was surprised at the amount of hiss the unit produced. Maybe it was defective; I returned it. No foot switch makes this device impractical for live, professional performers. It's probably a nice way for a beginner to learn what effects are, but I could not recommend it to a serious, experienced performer.
