I've played the marshall combo's and ive played the fender combos. This amp has those in it man. I swear i go from this strat hendrix sound to sabbath in to time.....effects are great, saves alot of money. I think one the best parts is having the 4 presets. so u can go from one song to the only with a tap on a button, no messin with the drive, mid, high, and stuff. Plus it has a tuner....but wait. let me commint on the distortion. its great. u can great a great crunch and no feed back. NO FEED BACK, GREAT CRUNCH. its great having that, or u can have the feedback....depends what your doing. its very loud, unless your playing an arena this is got it covered. I was afriad when I bought it it was going to be to modern and i wouldnt be able to get a vintage sound, WRONG, im sounding like Zepplin, chuck berry, pretty much whatever your looking for..u can make this amp sound like it I have a guitar port at home to..check that outLine 6 is great company. Instead of buying an amp with one sound. buy this, you will get it...plus more.....peace

A few years ago I once again started playing in a band. Since it had been a long layoff (a couple of decades) I figured that I didn't know squat about these new fangled degital emulation doo-hickies, so I took some (bad) advice and got a Line 6 Spider II 210 Combo. "It's great" (he said), "all you have to do is dail in the sound you want". (my disclaimer here is that the band is playing oldies/blues/invasion so it is more of a clean-reverb-chorus that I'm looking for... NOT any headbanging metal). It's true that this amp does many many things, but unfortunately it does none of them well.Save your money and stay away from all this Line-6 monkeybusiness. Go get a REAL amp and by REAL I'm talkin tubes. To make a long story short I sold the Spyder to some kid.... messed with some Fenders for a while and finally wound up with a VOX AC-15 and THAT, my friends, is REAL amp..... pure sweetness to the ears.... just like a ringin a bell.

Great Amp!

By Dominic-ub11s

I own this amp and it is great for practice, this thing has balls, it gets as loud as my buddys marshall halfstack, and that things like 3 times the size of this, I'm in a band and it gets loud and keeps great tone, if you wan't a amp thats loud and affordable i would choose this.

Amazing Amp

By Zoso420

from Newburg, PA

I've had this amp for four months. I used to have a shitty ass 15watt amp, so this was a huge improvement. The effects are really good except for the sweep echo, which I don't see how anybody could really use it. The only thing that bothers me with this is that if your volume is up high and the channel volume is up too high and you turn on the amp...it screeches really loudly(very annoying, so watch where the channel volume is before you turn it on. Only happens when on metal or insane)! The features like the distortion boost you get when holding the tap button and turning the drive knob are awesome! This amp is also really loud. I have yet to turn the volume up all the way because I have turned it 3/4 of the way and it shook pictures off the wall. Overall this is a fantastic amp for playing at home or gigs. The only amps better than this one are full stacks or tube amps.

Spider II 210 Combo

By PRSplayer1010

I have owned this amp for 2 years now and it is a decent amp. When practicing it sounds great at low volume levels, and playing the band it has enough power so I can be heard. Although, when playing at larger venues when the sound needs to be pushed a little more then halfway the amp seems to buzz and quality drops. For practice the amp sounds great though. Also, the modeling effects and channels are very good so you can dial in your wanted sound. Also the channel saving feature is a useful tool. Features are great on this amp, but I do not reccomend for gigging.

a pretty good amp for the price

By iplayguitar-2doGX

from Calgary, AB

I've owned this amp for about two years, and my overall experience has been good. The effects are mostly good, although I tend to use the clean and metal channels the most. I only have the FBV4 switch between the 4 presets, so I'm somewhat limited in the sounds I use, but it's still fun to mess around with the settings, especially with the delay. One problem I've had is that sometimes the amp will all of a sudden get all static-y and the volume will increase. Nothing really seems to fix this, so I just have to play through it and wait till it gets back to normal on its own. Other than that though, this amp has served me pretty well.

Brent

Ive bveen playing this amp for about 2 years now. And i have been super happy with it! It is loud, and i can definantly hear myself, and not be over powered by everyone else at band practice. My only complaint is that sometimes it randomly raises in volume and makes a weird light feedbackish sound, but that could easily be form me banging it around and i think i need to re-solder some areas because its been through rigorous use. All in all, I advise it to anyone who needs a solid practice amp.

Ridiculous...mmmm

By toofivewon

Man, I love this amp. If you want to play loud, this is the amp for you. Come to think of it, you could play quiet on this amp too, but that wouldn't be half as fun. The effects are mostly awesome, although one of the Insane settings sounds like a chainsaw, instead of a guitar... That can be cool too, though! Get a footswitch, and you're set to kick a!

Great amp for the cost

By Masta Mitch

from Sequim, WA

I haven't played very long (bout a year) but even I can tell this is a nice amp for the cost. However, if you have the budget, look for a marshall FIRST. Line six is better for effects, and with a rippin amp like a marshall you can just get a POD2 and have a WAAAAAAY better amp.

Pretty Incredible

By ObsessiveGuitarrist

from Guaynabo, PR

Ive had this amp for a couple of months now, and its been working great for me. I play in a band and you can definetly hear it over the drumset. It has great tones and the built in effects save you some extra money to buy the footpedal to change from channel A, to B,C, or D. Which is definetly a good plus in my book. I would definetly recommend this amp to anyone.

Just bought one

By MusicianLady

from New Mexico, USA

I'm still trying to figure out this amp. Sometimes it cuts out or maybe I'm doing something wrong and still need more time to work with it. I love the effects and I don't normally like or use effects. It's definitely worth the price and anybody that just uses this amp only as a practice amp has got to be insane. It's band worthy and then some. Makes any guitar sound good. But don't be lazy like me and work with it and learn all the features. I've heard people at the music store get phenominal sounds out of these amps.
