This is the best amp in its price range, faithfully reproducing tube sound even better - you don't have to wait for the tubes to warm up!
Whether you get the floor controller that goes with it or not, it's versatile enough to keep anyone happy for practice or songwriting no matter the music preference - but get the floor controller if you can. Only complaint is if you wanted to run a pod through it, this amp does not have a good clean, I guess Line 6 didn't think we may want to use their processor with one of their Spyder amps.
Can get almost any sound you desire. Must have foot controller for full feel of capabilities. Could be slightly lower priced!
I've been steadily gigging with the 210 for 2 years now. I love the sounds and features, but the Cat 5 jack is a bad idea. The amplifier constantly loses volume in the middle of a song because the foot controller loses connection. That type of jack is made to plug-in and forget. It doesn't have the durability to be plugging it in and out 10 times a week like I do.
For features and sound, I love the amp. But, the RJ45 jack for the foot pedal has been a constant headache. The connection between the CAT5 cable and the amp is constantly being lost, resulting in an embarassing loss of volume. I'm a working musician, and the RJ45 is not robust enough to be plugged-in and unplugged constantly. I wouldn't recommend it for this reason only!
I bought this amp to use in my garage band. It's fantastic! It has enough power to compete with my noisy drummer, and tons of different sounds. I got alot for my money. It's without a doubt the best purchase I've made since I started playing guitar 3 years ago.
I bought a "blem" model Spider 210, but I can't find anthing wrong with it cosmetically. It is a really good sounding amp, but I don't know if it would be loud enough to gig with. It is fine for practice or playing at home. The speakers could be better. Maybe an upgrade to Celestions or Webers would improve it. Other than the speakers, it seems like a good solid amp with alot of flexability!
I love this amp. For only 50 watts, this amplifier is freakin' loud! With all the different model types to choose from, you can basically do anything with this amp!
All amp models sound great! Plenty enough volume for small venues. Extremely flexible and easy to use. Any tone I want... with the push of a button!
Other than the limitations of my foot pedal, this amp is sick. It is much louder than I thought it was going to be, and it sounds great.
