OVERVIEW

Line 6 technology in a easy-to-use and affordable format.

Includes the Line 6 HD75 guitar amplifier head and the Spider III 4x12 stereo speaker cabinet.

The Line 6 HD75 Head delivers 4 amp models--clean, crunch, metal, and insane”that cover a broad range of essential rock sounds. These basic sounds can then be modified with a selection of effects. Now you can rule the stage with the Insane model with its truly massive gain or explore your sensitive side in the studio with the Clean model. The Spider III will give you the dialed-in tone you want in an instant. Less tweaking. More playing.

New to the Spider III amplifier is a huge range of killer mid-gain guitar tones. A critical advancement was made to the sound and feel of the Spider III line when a discerning panel of artists focused in on the venerable "mid-gain" range of tone to deliver the complex, layered and dynamic amp sounds we all appreciate from classic and boutique amps.

Effects
A great amp isn't the only part of a great guitar sound. With Smart Control FX, an exclusive Line 6 feature that automatically dials in different effect parameters, you spend more time playing and less time tweaking. Simply find the effect that you want, turn the knob to your desired intensity, and you're done. You can even use multiple effects at the same if you wanna get really crazy.

Effects Models (Up to 2 effects simultaneous)
Phaser
Chorus/Flanger
Tremolo
Sweep Echo
Tape Echo
Reverb

Ins & Outs
When you're playing with your band on stage just drag the Spider III half-stack on stage and crank it up. When it comes time to record, use the headphone/direct out and plug it straight into the mixing board for world-class POD 2.0 direct tone used in pro studios and stages everywhere! You can also use the same out with headphones for practicing in your bedroom. Want to play along with your favorite songs? Plug into the CD/MP3 input and you're good to go.

Amp Models
Clean: Select this Amp Model and adjust the tone controls to get crisp, amazing clean tones, great warm jazz tones, and all the high-end shimmer you'll need with a generous amount of bottom end.

Crunch: This Amp Model is based on* a '68 Marshall Plexi 100 watt with a few added extras; The combination of a Variac and the jumped input channels creates that infamous brown sound.

Metal: This Amp Model is based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound.

Insane: This model is Line 6's "dialed in for shredding" version based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel. It combines the intensity and impact of Metal Red, but delivers more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.

Plug in and separate yourself from the rest of 'em.

Overall I gave this amp a 4.5 mainly because I believe nothing can be perfect. I have heard mixed reviews over this amp, and I have owned it for 2 years and have used it in real situations. The only down side is its 75watt rating. It's loud enough for just about every situation I have put it in but its nice to know you have a little extra when you need it, although the hd150 requires you buy the shortboard instead of the fbv-express controller. Works great for practice and for gig situations. I only use the reverb and echo effects. High output humbuckers will effect the clean channel (some distortion). Our other guitar player bought a crate flexwave and he is definately jealous, mainly for the flexibilty of saving user presets and calling them up with a tap of a pedal...nice. I will be buying the all tube bogner model line 6 next.. Dedicated line6 user. Can't beat the value hands down.

Do looks count?

By NYNE

I played in a metal band with a PEAVEY classic chorus 2x12" combo amp that completely drowned this half stack. The only way that my other guitarist was able to keep up is if I turned way down and he turned his mids and highs way up. Not the best for deep crunchy metal.

I got this amp nearly 2 years ago. Great price for someone who just wants a half stack, but that's about it. I mainly just used it as a clean power amp and ran it through a Boss GT-6 to achieve a somewhat decent tone, because I personally thought the distortions were terrible. Basically, if you have a budget and just want a half stack to play on stage this works. If you're actually looking for good tone, do what I did and skip the modeled Mesa/Boogie, get a real one.

Are you worthy?

This rig is one of the best I've ever played through. Line six amps are very very metal, but this amp, I would buy it for its clean if I knew it was so clear? its CRYSTAL CLEAR, and its distortion is unbeleiveable!

I bought this half stack the other day, and it completes my rocker lifestyle. At gigs, we can just blow the crowd away. I love line 6 amps.

this amp was made for metal!

By Shrap666

from kittery, maine

I bought this amp about 4 months ago, and have never been more happy with an equipment purchase.i'm an 80's metal guy (metallica, megadeth, ozzy, iron maiden), and this amp is perfect for that style of music. the presets aren't too impressive, but if you get a good processor and spend a little while getting the EQ right, you can't beat the tone. excellant bass without bogging down the crunch.GET ONE!!

Great amp little price.

By oldtimer96

I have read mixed reviews about this amp and I will tell you straight up, Its not the bogner model by any means. Its not comparable to say, a marshall JCM, or a Krank, But it is better then the Marshall MG series. I have been playing this amp for 2 months now and I do believe it rocks for the price. I do wish it had an effects loop. Although with the FBV express foot controller it is pretty versatile. I play B.C. Rich guitars through mine and it rawks! I would like to upgrade someday to the LIne6 Bogner head, but for now this amp does exactly what I need it to do. I am very pleased and a happy line6 customer.

Line 6 Spider III HD75 Half-Stack

By BRANDONBRUTALITY

This amp is amazing for the price. People say that line six amps sound's too digital, but that?s defiantly not the case with this amp. You don?t even need a noise compressor with it. Definite thumbs up.

Should You Buy This?

By LTD400CLS

from PA

Yes, is the only thing you need to think when it comes to this half stack. I currently own it and its still sinking in how perfect it is. Mine has 400 presets so you never have to have the same boring tone as other standard stacks. Looks and quality, yes there is a lot of it. It has presets from some of my favorite bands.. like Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Muse etc. You can dial in your tone to your desired taste and it has great sound for shows. In Conclusion... you should buy this RIGHT now. :D
