Line 6

The vintage and modern amp tones you need.

The wide range of Spider IV 15 amp tone starts strong, with a bright and distinctive American clean tone, and then opens gradually to achieve the vintage grit and chime of classic British amplifiers. Experience the infamous "Brown" sound distortion, which is based on a '68 Marshall Plexi 100 with a Variac and jumped input channels, and a searing high-gain tone based on a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.

With one-touch ease you can access 4 channels of world-class Line 6 tones that were masterfully dialed in by pro players. Plus, each channel also stores 4 complete amp settings of your own creation! Create, save and recall amp model, EQ, gain and effect settings with the push of a button. A wolf in sheep's clothing, Line 6 Spider IV 15 sounds ferocious at low volumes as well as cranked to 11. Plus, value-packed, the guitar amp puts pro sounds into a lightweight box that's small enough to tuck under your bed or desk. Joining the Line 6 community entitles you to top-tier customer service provided by Line 6 representatives and other Spider IV users. Get free Spider IV 15 amp settings for famous songs as well as free lessons, backing tracks, drum loops and more.

An Instant Collection of Essential FX
Line 6 Spider IV 15 Smart FX were inspired by sought-after stompbox and studio effects to deliver the same unique sounds, colors and textures celebrated by pro players. At your fingertips are 6 brilliant effect models. Discover the tangy Chorus/Flange, swirly Phaser, expressive Tremolo, beautiful Tape and Sweep Echoes, and syrupy Reverb. Plus, Tap Tempo syncs all your time-based effects. Two effects can be used simultaneously. Spend less time tweaking and more time rocking with Smart FX. Each knob lets you easily adjust the intensity of the chosen effect so you can get back to playing as quickly as possible.

Total Tone Flexibility
The easy-to-use front panel makes it a snap to find a stage-ready tone. Quickly and easily add some grit with the amp's Drive knob and some dimension (or dementia) with the wide variety of effects.

Need to shape your tone? Tweak the Bass, Mid, and Treble knobs just like you would on a vintage amplifier. When you choose an amp model, the Spider IV 15 EQ section behaves just like the EQ section of the modeled amplifier. Spider IV 15 guitar amp gives you a complete, organic, and fully authentic representation of each of its amplifier models.

The Line 6 Spider IV 15 provides all the flexibility and conveniences that guitarists expect from a world-class Line 6 amplifier. Jam along to your favorite music with the CD/MP3 input and play all night with the great-sounding headphone output (that doubles as a high-quality direct-recording output). Plus, the amp's built-in tuner is always at the ready to keep you sounding your best.

Ups dropped it off yesterday, and it is everything I hoped, but better. The metal and insane channels are perfect. The clean is gorgeous, for a sort of metal clean tone. If you want to play a lot of Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, you might be better off with a Vypyr. but if you want Mettallica and Crue, to A7X, back to AC/DC and Aerosmith, youll love it. The metal channel is heavy as hell, and can still get up and throw piercing highs and mids. Everything is tight and punchy as hell. The biggest thing that shocked me was the clarity at seemingly stupid volumes for such a small amp. MF was out of stock when I ordered it, and I still had it in 7 days with free shipping. I highly recommend this amp to all metalheads. Thanks Musicians Friend and Line 6. RNFR

For the price you get a bit more then what you would expect, while it lacks the same response of a tube amp you can still get fairly decent overdrives sounds without having to run the amp terribly loud and there is a headphone input. If you are just starting to play guitar you really dont need to spend a ton of money on a tube amp, something like this will do just fine

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I was looking for an amp that is light, sounds good, and doesn't blow the windows out on 1. This amp fit that very well. It is great for small venues, and for throwing in the vehicle for a quick rehearsal. The tuner function is a great value addition. The bass end of this amp is surprisingly big. The heavy settings really scream, the clean/crunch lack a little warmth. Overall a very exceptional bedroom/apartment amp with a lot of bang for the buck. Shipping was super fast, it arrived the next day.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I own the Spider III.It's has volume that can
kill, but it lacks sound quality.I just dicovered
the Spider IV,apparently it has eq controls
that can be used like a normal eq section.

This is an improvment from the Spider III,being able to adjust your eq,your own way is essential.

Power means nothing unless you have quaility
sound.I think that there should be a demo
avalable so the sound can be judged, that why I
              bought my last amp.

If you're looking for a starter amp to get you going you're going to love this one! The price is outstanding, and the range of built in features is amazing. The amp is easy to set up and easy to use.

The only con for me (which really isn't the amp's fault) is the lack of a foot pedal. It is available for extra though, just would be nice to have that to switch channels easily.
Just be aware you might want the foot pedal, so budget accordingly.

No problems with the amp so far. It travels nice, not to big. And it looks great.
                  Buy this Amp!

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

This is a great amp, I have this and the Marshall MG 30W. I play metal and hard rock, so usually have Earnie Ball Not Even Slinky's in my guitar. That being said the clean and crunch don't sound as great as they do with regular sized strings. Not that I use those setting that much.

I like that you can choose the settings and save them by holding down the channel, and that there is a built in guitar tuner. Very functional.

This is one of the most simplistic yet fun amps I've used, and for a beginner (and depending on your sound) I would say to choose betwen this, the Marshal MG 15w or the Peavey VYPYR 15w. There's not really much difference between the VYPYR and the Spider.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it came with a crack in the top left corner of the head...and it is very big and noticeable. Luckily it doesn't affect the amp at all so I just put a band stick over it :P But still, I didn't pay money for a new amp, only to be awarded with a very noticeable crack in it.

I'm not sure if this is due to shipping or Line 6, but it seems some of the other reviewers had this problem as well.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
