ToneCore Verbzilla delivers amazing reverb models with loads of control.

The Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla reverb effect pedal creates luscious, studio-grade algorithms-- from classic guitar amp-style spring reverb to dreamy, high-end studio favorites. Tone, Mix, Decay, and Time controls help you find the exact effect you want, and the Trails on/off switch allows the ToneCore reverb to decay or cut off once you hit bypass. The ToneCore Verbzilla has a huge array of reverb models including '63 Spring, Spring, Plate, Room, Hall, Chamber, Ducking, Octo (a Line 6 exclusive), Cave, Tile, and Echo.

ToneCore guitar pedals consist of a ToneDock base--in stereo or mono--and interchangeable effects modules that snap in and out, allowing you to change effects without rearranging your pedalboard. The ToneDock is powered by a 9V battery or optional DC-1 adapter.

Dont think ill ever own another reverb unit. this thing is too good to be true and the cool thing is, it is true. only line 6 product i own but its great, might have to try some other things. but overall i recommend this thing to anyone, and im a vintage/different pedal stickler.
Its got alot of options for reverbs and different perameters for those sounds, what else could you want
this is a fantastic unit, im not a line 6 fan by any means but when i heard how great this thing is i didnt want anything else. i havent had it for long but i am definitly enjoying this thing everytime i play.
depends on what your looking for, that why i rate a 5 it could go either way with every person who has one or tried it out. i play many styles of music and im always changing it, when playing country i use 63 spring, when playing Pink Floyd type stuff the echo is handy, and when playing U2 you cant beat the Octo (but when running to one amp, set mix at one or two oclock).

I got this pedal a few months ago and have enjoyed all that it has to offer. I'm not one to complain to whether a reverb sounds digital or like a Fender Spring, so it may sound pretty digital to those who are picky about that. The octo setting sounded very cool and adds a lot of atmosphere to your guitar. The cave setting is really deep, and I've found that's my favorite preset on this pedal. The set-up I use most often is a Fender TC-90 through a Fender Super Six Reverb. The reverb tank on the super had been removed by the previous owner and I havn't gotten around to replacing it, so this pedal and the EHX Holy Grail Plus were my reverbs. I did really enjoy the trails switch, which made transitions a lot more natural. However, the trails switch does add a bass boost to your signal, but that's nothing too big. My real problem is that the pedal stopped working very suddenly. When the mix knob is clocked out, there is no signal. When the mix knob is lessened below 10, my signal is there, but dry(no reverb). The pedal turns on, but there is no effect. I've read through the Line6 forum and it seems that other people are having the same exact problem. So, there must be something wrong with the pedal. I wouldn't say this pedal is worth what Line 6 is asking, but it definitely has a lot to offer and play around with. I might even just grab it's clone, the Behringer Reverb Machine, and see how long that one lasts. But if you have the cash and are willing to take the risk of it breaking, then you'll enjoy the pedal for however long it lasts.

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

I would not use this as an on/off device during a song. I have a DD6 delay that might be brought in for a quiet multiple echoes during a solo. I use this at the end of the chain and leave it on the '63 reverb just enough to smooth it out. I am using a LP standard with a tube/speaker modified Fender Excelsior, which has no reverb. For heavier songs, I might leave it off as a lot of any effect can muddy up your sound when overdriving, or if recording i wouldn't use it at all and use the board level reverb. When rotating to different settings, it pulses a bit and you hear a slight blip, but if you had to swap setting between songs I think you could live with it

      Pretty cool

      By Musicmanfan88

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

Built well, several very cool effects, obviously some great reverb on here and many tweaking options. You won't be dissapointed in this reverb pedal. It's definitely worth checking out.
The pedal has a pretty large range of settings, especially for the price. Of course one of the coolest is the cave and octo settings. They give a very ethereal textural sound to your notes and there are a lot of ways to tweak it. I found the echo setting to be rather gimmicky. I have never serisouly used it for anything. But hey, if you want a good delay or echo, buy a delay or echo pedal, you know?
The pedal is thick and feels very solid to me. I have had this pedal for about 3 months and haven't had a problem with it yet. It eats through batteries quickly, so an ac adapter is almost a must. That was one reason I give quality an 8.
The other reason is that the octo setting, while it sounds awesome, seems to have a bit of latency, making it a little difficult to use sometimes, especially with quicker changes. Its notes sort of fade in, and so the effect isn't really felt for a half second or so.
This pedal is decently priced for the amount of options it gives you, plus it opens doors to completely new sounds through its octo and cave effects. I really wish the octo setting responded faster, but otherwise this is a great pedal.

Quit after year and a half

      By Daryn H.

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

After using it through my pedal power 2 for a year and a half on 9v dc it suddenly up and quit on me. I was pleased with the sounds while they lasted but am going for something a little hardier this time.I've seen countless people on forums with the same problem, some of them because the tonecore line needs a different power supply, and some because it just quit. Line 6 should definitley think about making their pedals compatible with regular power supplies.Probably last line 6 product I will ever buy.

      A few concerns here

      By J blues

      from FL

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

Not sure what all the hype was about with this pedal. Yes, it does have alot of different possible reverb types but.... at a cost. The not so good stuff: (1) I agree with the comment made that the trails switch adds bass ( colors your tone ) when on for whatever reason and it is almost a necessity to have it on because...(2) Without the trails switch on you hear the reverb abruptly stop with a noise when the pedal is disengaged ( very annoying) uless you leave it on all the time during the whole song.(3) The quailty of the knobs, foot switch and casing is really poor and there are major questions with how long all the above will last. At this price I expected more and Line 6 should price this at about $80.00.The just OK stuff:(1) You have a whole pallet of possible reverb model sounds and some are very cool (octo and cave.)(2) You can do lots of tweaking.Summary: I would not hop board the "hype-train" on this pedal. I heard / read so many great things about this pedal but it should be alot more affordable for the concerns and issues I ( and others) noted and maybe more.My other reverb pedal is a Digitech Hardwire RV-7 which is good and allthough it does not have all the options of the Line-6 the Digitech RV-7 is better built, looks professional , sounds good ( Lexicon), more affordable (find used or B-stock)) and the RV-7 should last.

      Good reverb settings

      By SD DaveM

      from San Diego

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

I like the different reverb models, and find most of them very usable. The spring settings sound good, but I have decent spring on my amp, so I mainly use cave, hall, and occasionally the octo setting. I have had the line 6 echo park for a couple of years, and have had no problems with it, so I hope the verbzilla is equally problem free.

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

I think a lot of people just don't know what they're talking about giving this pedal a bad review, I just got one to run in front of my Vox Night Train tube head cuz it doesn't have reverb for playing live. It sounds great. Been playing 30 years so I ought to know what sounds good. As far as digital vs analog who cares.

Comments about Line 6 ToneCore Verbzilla Guitar Effects Pedal:

This was a long time coming for me. I have owned 3 reverb pedals before this one, I'd used it before and was impressed with the sounds. though it did seem a little gimmicky, this is not the case. It's easy to get a nice subtle effect too. Its built well, easy to use, and sounds great.I think it has a slightly high price tag, its bulky and elaborate. Not sure about the switchable module idea either... a little pointless on a stomp imostomp.
