Line 6 Spider IV 15 guitar amp
Gig bag

The wide range of Spider IV 15 amp tone starts strong, with a bright and distinctive American clean tone, and then opens gradually to achieve the vintage grit and chime of classic British amplifiers. Experience the infamous "Brown" sound distortion, which is based on a '68 Marshall Plexi 100 with a Variac and jumped input channels, and a searing high-gain tone based on a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.

With one-touch ease you can access 4 channels of world-class Line 6 tones that were masterfully dialed in by pro players. Plus, each channel also stores 4 complete amp settings of your own creation! Create, save and recall amp model, EQ, gain and effect settings with the push of a button. A wolf in sheep's clothing, Line 6 Spider IV 15 sounds ferocious at low volumes as well as cranked to 11. Plus, value-packed, the guitar amp puts pro sounds into a lightweight box that's small enough to tuck under your bed or desk. Joining the Line 6 community entitles you to top-tier customer service provided by Line 6 representatives and other Spider IV users. Get free Spider IV 15 amp settings for famous songs as well as free lessons, backing tracks, drum loops and more.

An Instant Collection of Essential FX
Line 6 Spider IV 15 Smart FX were inspired by sought-after stompbox and studio effects to deliver the same unique sounds, colors and textures celebrated by pro players. At your fingertips are 6 brilliant effect models. Discover the tangy Chorus/Flange, swirly Phaser, expressive Tremolo, beautiful Tape and Sweep Echoes, and syrupy Reverb. Plus, Tap Tempo syncs all your time-based effects. Two effects can be used simultaneously. Spend less time tweaking and more time rocking with Smart FX. Each knob lets you easily adjust the intensity of the chosen effect so you can get back to playing as quickly as possible.

Total Tone Flexibility
The easy-to-use front panel makes it a snap to find a stage-ready tone. Quickly and easily add some grit with the amp's Drive knob and some dimension (or dementia) with the wide variety of effects.

Need to shape your tone? Tweak the Bass, Mid, and Treble knobs just like you would on a vintage amplifier. When you choose an amp model, the Spider IV 15 EQ section behaves just like the EQ section of the modeled amplifier. Spider IV 15 guitar amp gives you a complete, organic, and fully authentic representation of each of its amplifier models.

The Line 6 Spider IV 15 provides all the flexibility and conveniences that guitarists expect from a world-class Line 6 amplifier. Jam along to your favorite music with the CD/MP3 input and play all night with the great-sounding headphone output (that doubles as a high-quality direct-recording output). Plus, the amp's built-in tuner is always at the ready to keep you sounding your best.

Power, Speakers and Construction
Every aspect of the Line 6 Spider IV 15, from its guitar input to its 15-watt power section to its 8" custom speaker, delivers exceptional definition, clarity and feel. And the three-quarter closed-back cabinet adds a tight, snappy response to the diverse range of tones.

Wow! Great lttle amp, cool accessories.
Purchase it mainly for rehearsal through headphones, but
has enough balls for small band setting.
giving an eight since just purchased..seems well made

The amp is a toy. I wanted a small, inexpensive practice amp, but this one won't cut it. The gig bag isn't bad, and the strap is OK, too, although I'd have liked it a little wider. The fact that they include a cheap (albeit admirably compact) in-line tuner in the package must say something about their own opinion of the amp's built-in tuner. The built-in tuner will get you in the ballpark but definitely not on the money. The clean channel is OK when it will stay adjusted to full couter-clockwise, but an odd, bass-heavy distortion tends to creep in while you are playing. Rotating the gain knob and snapping it back to full counter-clockwise will restore a clean, if thin, sound for a while. The other channel sounds are interesting and can be fun but tend more toward extreme distortion. Nothing subtle there! It could be a blast for beginners because you don't have to crank up the distortion very much to get to the point where the notes that you are playing are irrelevant. Playing the guitar as an untuned percussion instrument can be a lot of fun. The most irritating thing about the amp is that the effects come on by themselves, while playing and not even being anywhere close to the amp (I don't have the pedal, which costs as much as I paid for the kit). Getting the effects to turn off again takes rotating the knobs colckwize and snapping them back to the off position several times, and "off" is still a temporary state. The controls all seem excessively twitchy. There is a split or crack on the top right corner of the case. I can't tell how deep it goes, but it doesn't seem to rattle. The edges of the top corners of the case are rounded off unevenly and the crack is on the side where the corner is less rounded. The plastic bumpers on the top are attached very solidly, and each one is crooked at a different angle. I would have returned it but I read the Musician's Friend return policy, and it seems that I'd have to pay for the return shipping and the free shipping that I got for delivery would be deducted from the refund, so it wouldn't be worth the effort. I will probably try it when I want some bizarre novelty effects on a track.

Lost my old practice amp in a flood. Should I be thankful for the flood? This little baby proved to be a better practice and solid little amp with great features.

I first wanted the VOX 20, but the sale was over. I needed an amp with reverb to make practicing more fun. I'm glad I got this one. It has enough effects without having too many. The gig bag was very nice and the combined extras are worth half the money I paid for it. If you want to step up from a plain amplifier without spending too much this is the one!

Can't ask for much more for the price. I am just a casual strummer, and bought a nice Washburn Tabu from my son-in-law. This amp is more than I need, but I can live with all the extras.

Most of the stuff that comes with the amp I already had and better quality. Wish now that I bought a fender amp
more settings then most need. Draw back is the FVB port ( on line 6 amp only and no 1/4 plug to use all the neat stuff you see in catalogs ) every item for line 6 FVP is over priced.
Works great but if I was making this amp I would thow away the shiney knobs with a little red BB size marker and put NUMBERS on then and make the background white so you don't need a flash light to change setting.
Not that great with NO 1/4 port and over priced add ons for the Fvb port. Price them first then see if I'm right.

So i have the spider 3 15, spider 4 150 head/cab. i like the ability to use the pedal with the spider 4 series SOOO i picked this up to use with an fbv pedal.

The pedal makes it so much more fun to use. I enjoy this new little 15-watter so much more.

for the rest of the package... i don't really need any of it, but the strings and headphones will come in handy.

I got this for what i paid for the spider 3 15 by itself.

Musician's Friend is awesome ... the first amp i took delivery on had a constant buzz... so i called customer support, spoke to a really cool woman who helped me remedy the situation. They took care of return shipping and shipped out the new amp. The new one works perfectly.

                  I'll shop with them again.

                  C
The first one had a buzz, but M.F. replaced it... the new one works perfectly.

Best Bang for your Bucks! I own a Vox AC30CC2X that smokes everything else out there in its range so getting this amp was more an attempt at getting something passable for portability to quick jam with friends and not for the stage and am blown away by what it does, sounds great and is light as a feather. Tone is superb for such an inexpensive "toy" amp. Get it, you will not be disappointed!

Comments about Line 6 Totally Amp'd Spider IV 15 Guitar Amp Starter Pack:

I bought this amp to use in my lessons, and my kids love it. I definitely recommend, I use it to practice sometimes too.
Comes with great effects built in, definitely add the FBV express for more flexibility.
                  Construction is pretty solid.
Some of the extras aren't really good, but it is a starter pack. It's ok tho, the amp itself is a great deal.
