Any product that fails after a few months is junk
I owned this pedal for a bout 4 months and used it in my riga regularly. There was a slight bleed of sound, but it was not enough when playing at club volume for me to notice. Iwas happy with it while it worked. One day, one side just quit. This pedal is made in China...I suspect mass production and cheap parts are the reason it failed.

I have learned this lessen before about quality over price, no more will I buy the cheapest item. This time I'm going with Lehle....
It was good for a while but ultimately failed
Well even if it was a good "value" becuase of the price, because it failed, the value is low

Comments about Live Wire ABY1 Guitar Footswitch:

I wanted an AB switch that would allow me to choose between sending my guitar through one set of effects pedals, or sending it through a "Sonicport/iPad" set of effects. The guitar goes into the input of the AB switch, then A goes to my effects pedals and into the front of the amp, and B goes to the Sonicport and then to the return side of the effects loop of the same amp. I can switch between my conventional pedals and the Sonicport with just one switch (A or B). While I am running through the Sonicport, I can select and deselect pedals on the other channel, and while I am running through the pedals, I can likewise scroll through the effects on my iPad and select a new sound. This way, I am always connected and playing, even while rearranging pedals or the effect selection on the Sonicport. The switch is transparent with no hiss, additional sound, or loss of signal. Does't even need a power source (9v) to work (that only powers the LED indicators). Also has the option of A&B, which I'm not using, but does work (I've tried it). Can of course do all sorts of other switching combos. I may try using two separate amps, rather than the front and effects return of the same amp. The switch is reversible, too. For instance, you could run two guitars into the A and B jacks (can either be used as inputs or outputs), and use the center jack as the output to go to an amp, so you can switch instruments without changing cords. I've seen other AB switches at higher prices, but this switch gets the job done with no apparent drawbacks for a lot less cash. I would highly recommend if you have a need for this type of switch. Don't how it would hold up after many uses, but for now it's working great.

Comments about Live Wire ABY1 Guitar Footswitch:

Don't believe negative reviews about this product, its 5 stars all the way!! I just got my BIGSHOT ABY yesterday. Today I used it for the first time and was playing my Les Paul into my Marshall Haze 15 and my Marshall JVM 205H using the BIGSHOT and the sound was UNBELIEVEABLE!! No unwanted buzzing or hiss, no unwanted sound when switching from A, B or both, I put it into my pedal chain and it worked perfectly, no issues...no problems. Just read the manual and pay attention to the directions as to when to use the lift, 180 O and ISO switches and you will have a ball with the beautiful stereo sound you can get with 2 amps. This pedal IS NOT made in China!! Its made in Canada and I don't see how it can blow up your amp or color your sound or any other unwanted things that may come along. It also strikes me as being well built to last. Buy it..its awesome!

I bought this pedal to split a single guitar input between two different amplifiers. The pedal worked well at first, had good sound quality and functioned as intended. However, after only a few months of light use, one of the switches went bad, and the sound would just cut out at times when both amps were on. I think I'll buy a Morley pedal next time. :/

Love the simple design and the fact that you don't necessarily have to use a 9v battery for it to work. It does exactly what I'd hoped it would do.

Having fun with it; such as a Fender Mustang amp for clean and then kick in a Vox VT80+ on top of it for an interesting lead boost using both at the same time. Maybe next week set both of them to emulate Marshalls for a small wall of sound.

Bought this as a Christmas gift to myself.

I am very pleased with it. It works exactly as it should with no hiccups or problems. The build quality is excellent.

The sound is very transparent and I there is (to my ears) no tonal coloration. I play one guitar into two amps and both amps sound exactly as if there was no switching box in the circuit. There is no bleed when switching from one amp to the other.

Players who have commented negatively on this product must have gotten a defective unit, because mine works perfectly.

                          An incredible value!!

DANGER: can blow up your amp! Just got the ABY1 Guitar Footswitch plugged in my two amps and keyboard. Immediate feed back and hum. When using the switch very loud popping sounds would happen when switch was engaged. With- in seconds of hooking the switch up one of my amps started to howl and screech and then just went dead. The ABY1 Guitar Footswitch is an amp killer, buyer beware….! Pure junk!
