OVERVIEW

Lightweight acoustic amp with strength and craftsmanship that is undeniably Markbass.

The Markacoustic AH250 is a compact and lightweight amp head for acoustic instruments. Connect it to your preferred cabinets, or use it as a preamp without a speaker—just take a line from the XLR out and set your master volume to zero. The analog amp is 150W @ 8 Ohms or 250W @ 4 Ohms, and offers two preamp channels (one 1/4" jack and one XLR/1/4" combo jack with switchable 48V phantom power). Anti-feedback and phase reverse controls allow you to capture the true essence of your acoustic sound while enjoying serious headroom.

The Markacoustic AH 250 acoustic head is a great choice for anyone who needs a small, light and portable amp head to amplify acoustic instruments. It can be connected to your preferred cabinet/s, or directly to a mixer via the line out (you can use it as a preamp without connecting it to a speaker—just set your master volume to zero).

The amplifier head is powered by an analog amp (150W @ 8 Ohms/250W @ 4 Ohms) and features Markbass' own custom-designed digital power supply circuitry. There are two preamp channels, with a 1/4" jack input for Channel 1, and an XLR/1/4" combo input for Channel 2, with switchable 48V phantom power.

Anti-feedback and phase reverse controls allow you to easily manage feedback and phase problems and capture the true essence of your acoustic sound while giving you serious headroom.

Comments about Markbass Markacoustic AH250 250W Acoustic Amp Head:

Sounds OK, easy to connect and operate, but overpriced; limited effects usage: chorus+reverb can only be used in a single setting; other settings separate one effect from the other, which may be limiting; tube-driven little mark sounds better with the acoustic instruments; there are cheaper acoustic setups that sound and function better than this unit.

Comments about Markbass Markacoustic AH250 250W Acoustic Amp Head:

Be sure to use 2 ohm matchup and you will get a strong and warm sound. I
tried a high end nylon guitar with a baggs pickup and I couldn't believe the quality. I then hooked up a high end archtop a hollowbody and a les paul with a tube pre-amp and got a sound that is as good as it gets. This is just a high end poweramp that is versatile that you can use different cabinets. The best combination I got was with 8" twin eminence alpha cabinet.
