Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
I have the 1960AX/BX full stack with a 2203 KK on top, man, if you are familiar with Metal superstars concerts, that's the same feeling, thanks to the preamp volume I can recreate that beautiful distorded sound pluggin in my standard Les Paul and SG, Sabbath, Judas, Whitesnake, Hendrix, Cream, can't wait for a big gig to use it LOUD TO THE TOP.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
Bought this cab couple months ago.its does not have the made in brittan speakers. But its does sound great.very vintage sounding.blues to classic rock, its all there.I love it have no complaints.Only reason am writeing a review is because i have no clue what there talking about with the 4 seperate enclosures. Its one square box inside.period.so dont expect 4 boxes in one big box.other then that its a great sounding cab.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
Ive had this amp for the last 4 years and this amp is the complete package ive played everywhere with this sounds great when you really get to play it loud. I plugged it into my fender deluxe reverb amp head and holy cow it sounds amazing. A big muff distortion pedal sounds really good with this cabinet too. Very full and the sound projects to the audience.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
Igot one of these in 1979 and I still have it. I have kept it in an anvil case at all times while not in use in clubs or on the road. The original speakers are still in it and sound great! I use a 1979 100w super lead with master volume and separate pre-amp controll and it is the best amp that I've heard in my life. I am 52 yrs old and have played in studio, concert and clubs for over 25 yrs.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
You can't go wrong with a marshall. The 1960 ax cabinet is perfect for those players that are looking for more of a classic sound. I've had mine a couple years and haven't had a single problem. It great for gigging. Although it may be a little pricier, its worth it. A professional cab is not cheap. It's fun to haul this cab on stage and blow away everyone sound. Many people have commented on the cool retro look the cab has. The Greenback are wel worth it. Don't settle for anything less. Marshall is the way to go.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
I just picked up a Marshall 1960 BX model which is the straight cab version. I have had the regular 1960 4x12 cab and the BX knocks it out of the park. It comes with with the G12 greenback speakers that are killer and give u that classic tone. Overall this is the best sounding cab Marshall makes.
Comments about Marshall 1960AX or 1960BX 100W 4x12 Guitar Extension Cabinet:
I have been using a Marshall MF400 cabinet with my DSL100 and my YJM strat and some effects. The MF400 was good, but it was thin, it wasn't detailed enough, and the tone just sucked.I went to a guitar store and saw this baby used for 500 bucks. I eagerly bought it, and brought it home to try. The tone is incredible. It's absolutely phenomenal. It's thick, and warm. It has a super rich low end, and the mid and high ends are incredible too. It sparkles, and with my YJM-308 pedal and the gain turned down on my DSL100, it sounds so good. I play it at low volumes, and it still sounds GREAT. It's got that percussioney vibe to it, and again the lows are amazing. It'll thicken and detail your tone, and add depth to it.Best cab I've played, but no Ohm switcher.
