OVERVIEW

(Open Box) A 2-channel, 50W version of the JVM410C Combo

In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 2-channel JVM215C is a 2-channel, 50W version of the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made, the JVM410C. Each of its 2 channels are completely independent of each other, and they boast 3 Modes, all 6 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 2-channel effectively 6 Marshalls in one!

The JVM215C has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

An ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 4-way footswitch boasts LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM215C all-valve combo will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

Amazing! The best!

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

Just fantastic. I really can't say enough good things about this amp. My search is over! I no longer have to even bother looking at amps anymore.
This is a great sounding feature filled amp.
You have 2 channels and 3 different modes per channel.
It goes from clean, to blusey to rockin, hard rocking and metal. More gain on tap that I beleive anyone could use.
So you start out clean (nice clean sound), the next mode adds just a little bit of crunch so it sounds like clean with OD, and the 3rd mode on the clean channel adds more gain and sounds very classic rock. And that is just the clean channel!
The overdrive channel starts where the 3rd clean channel left off and goes on from there great for harder rock and singing solos. The footswitch itsself is pretty amazing. It comes standard to scroll through the modes, turn reverb on/off and mater volume on/off. But you can program it in a variety of different ways. Too much to explain in a small review.

This is the most versitile straight up tube amp out there.
Every mode sounds great!
This one is made in England and they do a real nice job with quality. It is built like a tank and looks great!
I don't like to bash other amps, but all I can say is; pay the few extra hundred and get one of these or something made in the USA.
The quality indise and out is beyond comparison.
After trying out several cheaper amps in my opinion this is well worth the money. Knowing what I do now about "others" amps and this one, I would pay more for this JVM.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

It's compact but it sounds BIG, I first had the Peavey 6505+ combo and I returned it and took the JVM15. The JVM15 is high gain so you wont need any overdrive to push the distortion unless you want to shape it a bit. The orange mode is enough for play any metal style and it has a big nice bottom end (I sounds awesome with low tunings too). Clean channel is also impressive, you know, Marshall clean. the emulated XLR output is excellent for silent recording or for live performance through a PA. Overall great buy you cant go wrong with it.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

Sweet sparkling cleans, lots of pushed Blues tones on to Classic Rock and beyond. I have a TSL 60 combo also and this is so much better at any volume. The TSL sounds muddy until you open it up, this JVM is clear and crunchy all the way through the volume range and I think it nails all the great Marshall tones. It does an amazing hot rodded JCM 800 tone, worth the price for that alone.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I think I finally found it! After trying everything from Peavey, to Fender, to Line 6, to Mesa Boogie... this is what I was looking for! I liked my other amps and still own a Line 6 Spider Valve but I LOVE this amp! I play mostly blues and rock and I could not ask for a sweeter sound. The only reason I gave it a 4.5 for value is because I think it's slightly over-priced. The footswitch is simple to program and does whatever you need it to do. Marshall found a way to take a 2 channel amp and make it as versatile as a modeling amp but with the authentic soul and sound of a Marshall. I can't stop playing it! Marshall Forever!

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

like most have said before, plenty of gain (i hardly ever use OD red) and versitility between modes, features and foot switch. would recommend a noise gate as there is a lot of hiss, maybe more than a similar mesa boogie i almost got. can shape nicely to a variety of blues, classic rock or metal. i play mostly metallica, megadeth, slayer and can shape it nicely to these. this is my 3rd marshall amp
i've read that this is like the clean and OD2 channels from the jvm410 (leaving out crunch and OD1), 3 modes each giving you 6, as stated earlier. you can change the EQ, presence, gain, etc between green and OD channels, but not within these. can foot switch the other volume to give you a lead volume, can also customize the foot switch to combine reverb, volume, channel/mode, etc. seems nicely versitile. plenty loud as most 50w amps are unless you're playing a big venue. light enough to move around but not too far. the foot pedal has a nice long cord and works with any guitar cable, which is nice
overall i've had good experience with marshalls but i had to send this amp back twice. both crapped out on me after about a month. returned both to MF without a problem.... just had to wait. so far #3 seems to be working fine. both had tube problems that i didn't want to mess with - just returned them both
priced pretty close to mesa boogie rectoverb, other 50w tube amps with similar features

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

Over many years of playing and live gigging, I've experimented with much of the Fender line (Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, Twin(great amp!), Valvestate and Solid State Marshalls, Marshall Mini Bluesbreaker (1974x) and lately, the Egnater Tweaker 40 with 2 12" speaker cabs. Many of these are great amps but I haven't found one amp that I could use in just about any situation. This JVM 215C may just be the answer. Its 2 channel, 3 mode per channel configuration with 2 Master volume controls allows lots of versatility and you can use that second Master as a volume boost. In the clean channel, there's enough headroom so that even a Les Paul can sound pretty clean even at pretty high volume, and it sounds great with a Strat as well. The tone is awesome across the board. I have to admit that the "Resonance" and "Presence" controls don't really modify the sound to a great degree, but that's minor. The four way footswitch works well and I've only begun to explore the options of storing settings. I've gigged with the amp and am completely satisfied...no concerns whatsoever. Highly recommended!

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I bought this amp as an upgrade to my existing Marshall 50DFX amp. The JVM215C is definitely a huge step up and will use it for live performances and recording. I use this with my Les Paul Traditional and the two are perfectly matched. If you're looking for a versatile tube amp that seemlessly switches tone, power and reverb this is the one. The highs are signature Marshall; the lows and midrange have a depth and soul all their own, at all power levels. Love this amp, and would definitely recommend if you want that classic Marshall sound...

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I think this is the best made guitar amp today. The programable footswitch and the switchable on and off of the effects loop makes it perfect for my setup. Now I am a tone purest, so after I recieved this amp,I have it modded with Mercury magnetics, high quality filter caps and Mercury choke it does run into a lot of money, but the quality of heavy duty Mercury transformers makes it sound like the quality built amps of them good old days.Just Marshall heaven.None better.but even out of the box its an excellent product.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

The JVM was my first choice for a professional grade amp. Had to rely on internet demo's to choose [music stores in my area do not stock the JVM's because they are expensive]. No regrets after receiving and playing it for a month. Has so many great features like the dual master volumes, decent reverb and a great footswitch. Sounds awesome at bedroom levels as well as turned up. Excellent Celestion speaker choice by Marshall. I also purchased the DSL 40c last year and love it, but I did not like the shared EQ. I was afraid the JVM might not sound much better than the DSL, I was wrong ! The JVM can get any DSL tone and more. A very versatile amp. It has more than enough gain, in fact too much for me. I like the Clean / Crunch channel for my style [classic / Southern rock] while the overdrive channel can be tamed into Marshall heaven. If your looking for an amp that can do just about any tone-this is it. My only complaint about the combo is the knobs feel very cheep with no friction or drag. Like turning a cheap radio dial. That is why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise the build quality is good. I chose the JVM over Friedman & Mesa and do not regret my decision. It's a keeper.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

This is a fantastic amp, gets all the classic Marshall tones. I did not like the heritage speaker fitted. It makes the amp sound weak and thin, so I put in a Celestion G12t75 which is what they use in the big 1960 cabinets and it brought it to life, big deep classic Marshall low end and beautiful full almost fender like cleans. The footswitching on this lets youset it up well for performance. This amp does everything and does it well. You wont go wrong with this amp, but ditch the weedy thin sounding stock heritage speaker, it does not do this wonderful little amp justice. This is all the amp you will ever need and mic's up beautifully too and sounds as good as the full monty Marshall in the mix. Its the real deal, made in UK EL34 Marshall with all the bells & whistles you would wish to have on a modern amp. The onboard digital reveb does the job but I love using my TC Hall of Fame and Flashback along with an MXR micro flanger in the effects loop. You get all the sounds going from clean to insane high gain and the high gain is like nothing I have ever had from any Marshall and is pure classic Marshall all the way to the top. I have onwed many many amps over the years looking for the one that suited me most, and this is it. I do not play in a hard rock band or a metal band. I play in a covers band that does everything. No modern modelling pedal can ever sound like this. Pro's still use real amps and pedals for very good reason. Get this amp and a few basic pedals for the effects loop (delay, reverb, chorus or flanger), maybe a compressor for the front end and you are well sorted for mostly anything. Its so small, reasonably heavy to carry but it does all you need. You do not need 100w and you do not need 4x12 cabs. This is the amp I always wanted. Marshall got this one just right. I tried out a DSL40..it was nice couldn't fault it either....but this one is far better with many switching and set up options.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

Really this an amp that does it all. Shimmery cleans, Hendrix OD, AC/DC Crunch, Hi Gain madness. Its like every Marshall ever made. I have owned blackstar S104 stack, and a boogie Dual Caliber 50 watt before this and this is the best. Yo really don't need 4x12 cabs these days. This thing mic'd up live sounds huge. All the legendary marshall tones in one tiny package which sits on the back seat of your car. Lound enough for most gigs I would say. Love the 2 volumes, perfect to kick in the 2nd volume level for soloing. No modeller, distortion or overdrive pedal will get you anywhere near this for rock tone. This is the real deal.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

This thing is like a Marshall history lesson. You can go from Plexi to insane amounts of gain and everything in between. The speaker in it takes a bit to break in, but once it's broken in, you will have sweet Marshall rock star sounds, Slash, Joe Perry, Malcom Young, Jimmy Page, Van Halen, they're all in there. The reverb works great. One of my favorite features is the foot-switchable effects loop. You can program the foot switch the way you want it to work, and each channel remembers how you left it (reverb was on channel 2 orange, it will be when you go back, even if it was off on the channel you used before). You will not regret this amp.
