OVERVIEW

More channels, more gain, more versatility.

In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 4-channel JVM410H 100-watt tube head is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more gain than any other Marshall to date--and that's really saying something.

Each of its 4 channels-Clean, Crunch, OD1 and OD2-are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast three Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one.

The JVM410H has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and eight LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the four channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls - Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble and Gain--accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the four reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls--2 Master Volumes plus Resonance and Presence.

Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts seven LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in between, the JVM410H all-valve amp head will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

I was a little worried about this amp, because there's only a few decent demos on youtube showing this amp.
But once I turn on and Play a E chord , I knew it was the TONE I was looking for. A really nice clean sound for a tube Marshall amp . With this ( clean ) and the crunch channel , this amp can take it from 60's rock / blues to 80's hard rock / Heavy Metal .Od 1 and Od 2 has LOAD OF GAIN. Maybe to much for some people . Certainly you can play any kind of METAL out of this head. A quick tip : If you're about to use any of the overdriven channels on RED MODE , keep the gain knob no more than 3 or 4 . Raising more than that , will give you a lot of hiss .This head also come with a Digital Reverb an it's also midi programmable . My last words : If you love MARSHALL AMPS , you'll love the JVM .

I own a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL and I have to say the the JCM series absolutely blows away this new JVM. I have played the JVM several times and the local music store and I am anything but impressed by the so called "Marshall of all Marshalls". Its not a terrible amp but its not worth the money either. This amp is full of useless channels. Who honestly uses that many channels other than new guitarist who havent developed an ear for the sound they want. Aside from that the high gain channel was almost "Hissing" at me and really just over the top. I would really sit down and play this amp before you go out and buy it because for much less you can still find the TSL and DSL JCM's out there. Both are much better amps than this.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM410H 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I have had this for about a year. Very good amp, but not as easy to use as other Marshall's that I own. it is a different platform, Hence it does not get dialed in the same way you would for like a JCM900 or 2000DSL, etc. It is a TRUE all tube amp (with NO diode clipping), so it is a little trickier to get the sound out that you want. first, it is super high gain, so you don't need a lot on the gain knob (set to about 40% is good). For good high gain sound, turn the CHANNEL volumes down to zero, take the master volume to about 60%, then slowly turn up the channel volume to where you like it, then Jockey the 2 volumes to fine tune... then toggle between each channels gain stage to see what you like the best...Also, this amp likes more speakers, ie, a 4 12 cab sounds better then on a 2 12 cab.... And like all good tube amps, as you crank it, it sounds better... FX loop is flawless. best reverb you will ever hear. clean channel is outstanding. A good amp in it's own right, but if you are looking for a simpler amp to use that sounds great, I would say a JCM800, or 900, or 2000, might be more up your alley. the foot switch set up on the JVM seems overly complicated at first, but once you learn it, it is very easy and intuitive ... A very good amp. Not my favorite, but definitely will not get rid of it. gives me some tones that I can't get any other way...

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM410H 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I also have a 50 watt JVM215c combo which only has 2 of the 4 channels the JVM410h has, but I find the other 2 channels on the JVM410h to be useless. Something about the JVM215c, when plugged into a 2x12 with vintage 30, sounds much nicer and easier to dial in compared to the JVM410h. I found the JVM410h sounded too robust and much harder to dial in. I sent back the JVM410h, and I'm in the process of converting the JVM215c into a compact head.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM410H 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

Wanted to love this amp, however out of the 4 channels I liked the clean and crunch after that it was too much noise on any of the gain channels. As soon as I put the gain past 9 o clock on the yellow or red channel it was instant noise, feedback, hum and beeping. I even asked my wife to listen to the gain channels to see if I was going crazy, she goes "is that an alarm going off in the amp" it was a low beeping. I tried 5 guitars a noise gate it was just not happening. I tried different monster cables etc. If it was a bad tube I wasn't going to waste any more time on this amp to find out. Besides the noise the tone of the gain was too thin and too modern for my taste. I had to literally turn the amp on almost full blast to get a decent tone out of this amp. All in all I hated this amp. Thanks god for returns it is going back, fast!!!

I've had this rigged up for several years now, and use it everywhere. It works great, and I love it. But I have definitely had to control the hiss/buzz/noise when the gain goes up. I had to put a decimator and turn on an additional noise gate in my effects processor. The clean channels are great, and when you keep the gain down on the OD1 and OD2, fantastic sounds and tone ... just watch out when you want to get all 80's or 90's crunchy metal, be prepared for the noise.

For the money you can't do better- I know, been there, done that- had all the boutique mega amps out there- don't waste your time. Fantastic cleans in this amp too. If you're gigging or playing at home this amp can do it- pop, blues, classic rock metal too- silent recording function- great foot-switch midi reverb on and on fantastic value IMHO.

I wont go on and on. I have a TON of amps from the 800 to the JVM. This is a great amp for the working musician like myself. It can do it all. Joe Satriani plays one, and his model has built in noise gates. The clean and crunch channels on mine are fine, very quiet. OD1 and OD2 will make some noise but those channels have a TON of gain. You can solve the problem with a properly dialed in noise gate. This amp is awesome! I had the 50 and as we started playing bigger places I stepped up to the 100 watt version. JVM better than the vintage moderns, get this amp!

Got this about 2 weeks ago. first impression was that it was beefy and mean looking in person.
i noticed it was very sturdy and strong. very secure and theres no creaking or flexing. has strong corner guards. it took me about 2 days to find the tones i loved.Im playing it through my marshall 1960A cab and it can get disgustingly loud! \m/ it takes a little bit of tinkering as there is technically 12 modes. it is extremely versatille. I can play Chuck Berry all the way to Cannibal Corpse. And all the modes sounds great too. I play all kinds of stuff. from delta blues through Kansas,Kiss,ACDC, all the way to Meshuggah,Cannibal Corpse, Metallica,Megadeth and more. Trust me it will do it all great! It sounds astonishing and right in your face, tons of gain for anything you need.

All though musicians friend did send me a broken one first. with ease they arrangd a new one, grat amp!
