Comments about Marshall JVM1 50th Anniversary 2000s Era 1W Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

To start off with, i have all 5 of these 50ths and i am still surprised there are no more reviews on here of them than there are. These amps represent 50 years of Marshall Tone and they do this very well. All at perfect bedroom volume. Each amp has it's own unique flavor as well representing the era for which it was designed. If you are a serious bedroom rocker or have a recording studio you would be well advised to grab a couple are all of these if you love Marshall tone. Also, let's not forget that these also have the .1 watt setting (really less than that) and this not only reduces the volume even further but this also allows you to use the entire amp as a preamp into the effects return of a larger amp or just a power amp alone. This will give you the tone these things put out at serious giggable volume. As far as the JVM1 goes, The amp is channel switching with an effects loop. The loop works very well with my TC Nova Delay (DSL1 is equally as good) and i do not notice any tone suffering when i use this loop. Delay works as it should and the tone of the amp is there. The clean channel has a nice ring to it on lower volumes and when cranked gives a classic rock sound. The overdrive channel just brings up some rich overdrive/distortion depending on pre & power amp settings. Notes just jump of the fretboard and pinch harmonics are everywhere. Very musical gain and you can go from a nice grit all the way up to metal. In short, this amp is a winner just like the previous 4. When put through some decent recording gear these amps sound like there big brothers also without the need to blast walls down to get that tone. Some folks might say they wouldn't spend that much on a 1 watt amp but these people are really missing the point. Yeah, there are aftermarket devices to tame the bigboys and whatever but to me there is always a trade off. You need a 100 watt Plexi to fill a concert hall with sound. Well, in a decent sized room in your home/studio you can get that same feel with any one of these amps just to scale. Don;t expect these to push serious air. In my home i don't need air being pushed. That is ridiculous. What i want is TONE and these deliver in spades. If you love Marshalls and you have the cash you cannot go wrong with any of them. I have several amps and i would sell every one of them before i sold any of the 50ths. Get em while you can cause when they are gone they are gone.

Comments about Marshall JVM1 50th Anniversary 2000s Era 1W Tube Guitar Combo Amp:

I am very happy with this 1 watt. I didn't realize the girth and sustain would be there with something this small.
