I was looking for a small amp for practice while watching my kid while he watches TV an plays. My dean markley amp weighs about 50 lbs and isn't practically to haul out every day. This amp is small, has a good amount of fx and options for a daily player and seems very sturdy. Great sound. Was looking at the mustang 1 and that one has a USB connected, but in the end the Marshall name did it for me and I herd the USB on he fender does not work all that great. If I record ill just mic it into garage band, probably get a better tone that any. This fit the needs of a practice amp and is nice not to worry about hooking up pedals for a quick practice session. This can get loud, but can also be quiet while still giving a good crunch.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

A very good amp for the price and makes a great practice tool. Of course the amp is not meant to use in a gig, but what it was designed for is great. Play along with mp3 or cd's with a very good clean or drive. A lot of adjustments to get the sound you need or want. For the money, Marshall gives you a very good product for its intended use.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this for my husband who hasn't really played much electric guitar. He is thrilled. I played a bit of electric guitar on large Marshall amp years ago and wondered how this would compare. It is everything I hoped it would be - good sound for the size, features that he wanted and just enough fun for the not so serious player. It is great for lots of serious people too.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I got this as a gift from my brother who knew I was looking for a nice Marshall practice amp I could just plug in at home without disturbing the neighborhood. This little amp has some serious power and crisp tone. Although I personally prefer the clean channel (just my style), it has some very nice basic effects and versatile features to make your practice more enjoyable. A good bonus is that you can plug your headphones so you can do some even quieter practice (for your family members sake, if you got the urge to strum a mid-night escapade), especially if you want to get a bit crazy with the overdrive channels. You an also add your MP3 player so you can enhance your practice skills. I got it for free as a gift (he got in MF site), but I would have definitely purchased it myself.

I own a Marshall half stack but sometimes it just a pain to set up in my house. Got this little gem after watching a few reviews. Sounds great and easy to use. Comes with a usuful manual. I like the four channels. The crunch channel is perfect for 60's English Rock or AC/DC style of rock. The clean channel is great sounding as well as the two distortion channels. I've had other practice amps that didn't quite live up to the hype. This one does.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

I had a 100 watt Marshall stack many years ago, TOO MUCH firepower for the clubs I was playing in, it usually wound up playing on about a master volume of 3. This little amp really is very similar in the tube tone my stack gave, and it's VERY worth the small price Musician's Friend charges for it. I've been playing other brands of amps since then, and all sorts of stomp boxes, they are all good sounds, but that Milton Keynes Marshall CRUNCH is one of kind, and is very nicely captured by this amp, even with the solid state electronics. If you're looking for "That Marshall Sound" this little beast can deliver. The clean tone is very well defined as well, the effects are nice, and, well, it's a MARSHALL,and it can quickly sound like one with the press of a button. I really liked the well balanced tone of this amp. WELL worth the cost, more than I expected, actually. I am very happy with it

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG15CFX 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp:

Unlike most practice amps the market, this amp did not have a million buttons and a huge owners manual. With just four channels and no amp models, it made setting this up easy and Marshall put the money into the effects. They are good effects, not cheesy like the competition. Furthermore, this amp come with a face year warranty, not 90 days or one year, like the competition. I highly recommend this amp for practice. That is what it was designed for and it does it better than any of the other so-called practice amps. Get on before they are gone, if you want something simple to practice with.
