I have owned one for about 5 years now, and I am looking to buy another one for my R&B band. My old one will be used in my rock bands. If you want a great 4x12 sound, with a little work, this is a great buy, and a great sounding speaker. Buy it and see.
Just like every Marshall.
Not great quality. Basically they just stapled 4 pcs of particle wood together and did not tolex the back. I tore mine apart, reinforced it with wood strips, glued, and screwed it. Added just a bit of foam to the back and sides. It is now tight, and sounds like a higher priced Marshall cabinet. I have heard of people using truck bed paint on the back.

It is a bit smaller, and lots lighter than the regular Marshall bottom, which means it is easier to carry around and you can get it in the back seat of a car (barely). Nice for an older musician that still wants to rock.

The Celestion speakers are great, but lower wattage, so use an amp 50 - 100 watts. It will sound great. I use an old Traynor YBA1A and it sounds amazing.
If you do a little work on it, it is an amazing value.

This cab is an entry level cabinet, and is priced accordingly. For an entry level 4x12, it is okay. I bought this to leave at a rehearsal studio that is at risk for being broken into. I didn't want to leave any of my Marshall 1960 cabs there. If this MG412CF was stolen, I'd just shrug my shoulders, say "meh", and go get another one. This cabinet is not a cabinet that I would take on the road or would use while doing heavy local club gigging. It is a heavy cabinet, and I did add some pop-out casters to facilitate easy moving. There is no plywood in this cab. Opening the back revealed a sloppy glue job between the sides, and loose back supports. A quarter-sized chunk of the glue used to hold the sides together had fallen off and was resting in the spider wire of one speaker. If I were moving this cabinet much I would reinforce the cabinet with some inside corner braces. The carbon fiber looking covering is cool, but time will tell how well it holds up. The wiring was heavy duty, but for some reason Marshall epoxied the jack to the input jack cup. The speakers are actually okay sounding. They are not Vintage 30's, but they are voiced fairly well for this price range with tone evenly balanced between lows and highs. The hardware (handles, input jack cup, corners) are standard Marshall quality. The bottom line is you are getting what you pay for here. It's a decent entry level cabinet for the price, and it sounds okay.

I use as part of a full stack and as an extension cab with a combo amp. It has a really tight sound and is a good intro to Marshall for shredders on a budget

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG412CF 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

I had heard a number of good things about this series and decided after reading the reviews that I would take a chance. We it was the BEST chance I have ever taken. These speakers are right up there with the more expensive models that Marshall makes, clear sound from speakers, no rattle or buzz. If you are thinking about spending your money on any other speaker box then stop and spend your hard earned cash on this item. I have matted the speaker with my Pervey value king and had cranked the sound way up without any distortions or lowering of sound quality. Well worth your money.

I use this cabinet with the MG100HCFX head. I play heavy metal most often and it is perfect for all genres of music. Clean, Crunch, Overdrive 1 & 2 all sound and perform amazingly. I use a distortion pedal with it which also sounds amazing. This guitar cabinet/head is an amazing bang for your buck.

Comments about Marshall MG Series MG412CF 4x12 Guitar Speaker Cabinet:

The item description should have indicated, that the cabinet top surface, has (reccessed/counterbore pockets), that do not align correctly, with the feet of Marshall Amplifier heads. I am keeping the cabinet, only because it would be to much of a hassle to return, due to my lower back problems. Other than that I would recommend.
