Absolutely LOVE this little amp !!! Very impressed with the sound and volume from this little thing !!

And... I got what Musician's Friend refers to as a 'restock'. It was explained to me that 'restock' actually means a 'second'... Meaning during testing, Marshall found something that was not quite up to standards, so the unit was sold at a reduced price.

For the life of me, I... or anyone else I have demonstrated it to... cannot hear *anything* wrong with this little lion !!

It's not intended for 'live performances', but for sitting and messing around at a local a bar or at a barbecue, it's absolutely great !! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.

I travel with work & wanted something to tote along with me for hotel stays. I bought this over the vox amplug because I simply refused depending on a battery. I regret this decision substantially. This amp is pretty awful, it sounds like the speaker is literally inside of a garbage can. If you want to hear the clean tone over your guitar, you'll be sacrificing the "clean" by turning the volume & tone up. The result is a crunchy, stale & noisy mess. Mine is always hissing & like one reviewer before me stated: don't even think about putting pedals in front of it. Pedals make the speaker sound like it's scrunching up & you can't hear the tone of the effects whatsoever. The only plus is the fact that you can play guitar in small enclosed settings at low volumes, but what's the point if the only half clean tone comes when it's quieter than the guitar itself? I will be selling this for a vox ac30 amplug.

The first MS2 I received was defective. Musician's Friend responded immediately with prompt delivery of a replacement. Excellent customer service! I love the MS2. It is convenient for clipping on my belt and walking around while practicing at home or playing at small gatherings.

Comments about Marshall MS-2 Mini Amp:

I was about to go on a trip, saw this amp, and thought it would be cool to have for the road. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but was quite surprised after plugging this bad boy in. Very impressive OD, great tone and squeals like a mother. A con to it, not in my opinion but for some is the clean tone being very crunchy. I suppose some people would hate the amp because of that lol.

This little thing is great for the home. The only thing that I don't like about it is the difference in volume between the clean and dirty channels. Otherwise I would recommend it to anyone.

Overall great product, fun to use and experiment with. Included belt clip makes it possible to walk around the house with my electric guitar and flesh out ideas. It would have been nice if it came with a power adapter or a headphone adapter, but it's probably better they keep the purchase price down. Would recommend!

Comments about Marshall MS-2 Mini Amp:

I bought this as a gift for my Grandson as his first practice amp, along with a Peavey "Captain America" Guitar... It clips to your strap and runs on a 9 volt battery. It is very easy to play through and very portable. He's only 2 1/2 years old. So, the set up had to be simple! Which it is, and he loves it!

Nice little amp, portable and good sound. Runs long on the 9 volt battery. I didn't have the issues with the battery replacement, that other folks experienced. Apparently my battery compartment is fitting the battery snugger.

Comments about Marshall MS-2 Mini Amp:

I think I can officially say my mini-amp days are over. I thought it would be a good idea to have one as a sofa amp. I've owned two, Marshall and Rocktron. Both played great the first couple times. Then they started cutting out in a sort of vibrato effect. I'm done. Except maybe the Orange Micro Crush it looks and feels solid and my friend from Norway said it Rocks. So I'm doubling down I guess at seventy clams.

                    Awesome Lil Amp

Fun lil toy! Super glad I got it...you will be too!!
This just has to be seen to really appreciate how cool it is. It looks EXACTLY like a full size amp that was shrunk...like the stuff in "Honey, I shrunk the kids!". Very, very cool. The sound is not the same as a big amp, but you shouldn't be expecting that, either. It's still very good sound-wise, but I'd advise not to turn it up to the max. It kind of distorts the sound. Also, you'll need to tweek the knobs with your own guitar to get a good balance of volume and tone. Everyone that sees it thinks its just the coolest thing!! I mean, it honestly looks just like the full-size version I have sitting in my house!! What a trip
Good quality sound as long as you don't have expectations of putting on a show with this as your only sound system! :-)~ It's great for jamming with buds in the park or a coffee shop...or even in your room if you don't want all the sound from your big amp to continually piss off your roommates!
It is great quality and a very unique novelty, so I paid what I thought was definitely too much 4 this little amp. I guess for those two specific reasons they felt like they could charge that much. Obviously, since I'm writing this review, they did get someone to buy it at that price point. :-)
