I've seen a few comments from people stating that they've had reliability issues with these. I bought one of these last year and I've played out with it on my board probably 10 times. I've had no problems at all. It sound killer with a modded Silverface Bassman.
This was the best sounding digital reverb pedal I ever owned. And then it died. Marshall, please redo this model!! I want another one, but only if it lasts and works properly.
I bought this pedal about 2 months ago and it holds up great! This is hands down THE BEST reverb pedal on the market, I love to play rock and blues- especially Stevie Ray Vaughan and Classic Rock, and especially with the wide range of reverb sound selection, totally worth the value and you will love this pedal!
When the reverb on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe went, instead of shipping the amp out to be fixed I decided to pick up a reverb pedal temporarily. I was deciding between this pedal & the holy grail - and I'm very glad I choose this pedal. Sounds awesome with no signal loss at all. It has alot of different sounds that should suit all your needs. One comment - if you are putting this in your pedal loop, be sure that it is located before (to the left) of your distortion pedals (so it's like amp -> reverb -> distortion -> guitar) otherwise the reverb becomes WAY too loud and dominates over the distortion sound. Great buy & product, don't hesitate on picking this up, especially if you own a tube amp.
I got this pedal a week ago and I was very happy with the sound. It wasn't shallow or swampy sounding if you know what I mean. The reverse reverb I dont really care for or spring reverb 2, but the rest are excellent sounding not to digital. Very pleased thx again marshall.
I got this pedal a week ago and fell in love with it as soon as i plugged it into my pedal chain. All six channels have amazing sound, or i should say had amazing sound. After using the pedal for about half an hour the reverse setting became nothing more than delay and no longer reversed and sound. Shortly after the same channel starting getting a horrible static feedback that overpowered the guitar. I tried rearranging my pedals and even playing the reflector on its own, but the same problem kept occurring. Even worse the next day i started to get the same hissing static feedback on all six settings. Needless to say im sending it back, which is a shame because it was an amazing pedal before this problem occurred.
I bought this pedal at a music shop the other day and I haven't stopped using it since. I was looking for a great reverb pedal for a while and I was a little disappointed with the holy grail. The grail has some great tones, but there is a dip in volume as soon as you enguage the pedal. I wanted to use the reverb on leads and a lower volume just won't cut it. Not the case with this Marshall. It has a great variety of reverb tones which range from a warm hall reverb to surf-tastic spring reverb reminiscent of old Ventures recordings. Great reverb that keeps your guitar tone entact.
I tried several reverb pedals including the Boss RV-5, Holy Grail, Digiverb, and like the Marshall the best. It doesn't color your tone at all and gives a nice true sounding reverb, hardly seems digital. I like that you can dial in the settings and then just change the 'type' of reverb for different sounds. I'd recommend.
I bought this pedal after comparing it to the boss rv-5 and the ehx holy grail. I immediately fell in love with the overall warmth of the reverb and the spaciousness it was capable of. The hall was great for my shoegaze endevours while the spring was great for when I was in a Ventures mood. The reverse was pretty awesome for my more abstract moments, but I quickly found a problem with it. After hooking it into my pedal chain, I found the reverse mode would get this really bad static feedback if I didn't have my big muff on. while I don't know what exactly caused this, I ended up just taking it back for a refund. I may actually end up getting a new one in the future, but at the moment I'm a little gun shy. If it wasn't for that one thing I would have to give this pedal 4.5 stars.
I've only had this a day so don't base your opinion off one review. The pedal for me (so far) has worked very well. The numerous settings are all very nice, and add a little something to your tone. The only thing That I've noticed is you have to set it just right if you're going to use it with distortion you have to get it just right, or else there's way too much reverb.I run it into a Marshall JCM stack. The two compliment each other nicely.
