    Can't get past the price

    By Kevin

    from Florida

Comments about Maxon Nine Series Phaser Pro+ Pedal:

It sounds great, but it's worth less than the asking price.
I was able to borrow this pedal for a few days & use it along side my other pedals. 3 knobs gives it a lot of adjustability.
Great sounding, a bit too subtle for my taste but it does sound great. The problem is there's other great sounding phasers for a similar price. The MXR phase 90/100 & the EH small stone are top notch. I prefered my Small Stone to the Maxon.
This pedal costs maybe a fraction of the price to produce.

    Phaser 9

    By Dermaptera

Comments about Maxon Nine Series Phaser Pro+ Pedal:

The phaser pro is one of the most analog units I have had the pleasure of using. My main analog pedals are all Moogerfoogers the six have made my sound for synth bass heaven. The only other phaser I keep around is This one. No I do not like it as much as the MF-103 12 stage Phaser. It dose have its own sound and it self oscillates very nice for a compact pedal. This dose not sound like a Phase 90 and I have owned two of those over the years. This sound is much stronger and more in the front of the mix.

    Not worth the wait...

    By The Grape Skeletons

    from New Jersey

Comments about Maxon Nine Series Phaser Pro+ Pedal:

First off, let me say that Maxon pedals are one of my favorites--they generally sound great and are botique quality with high-end components. The sounds you can get out of this box don't justify the price, however--the effect is weak. The MXR EVH Phase 90 costs half and sounds 100x times more intense. This has too much "wooshing" clock noise when used with distortion. It is true bypass, and a pulsing LED shows you the cycle, which is neat. Finally, two things: it uses a REGULAR 9v adaptor (even though the circuit runs at 18V) and it's a 10-STAGE phaser, according to the distributor. Not 4. Not 12. 10 Stages. But the MXR Phase 100 is far better than this for that sound. Or get the Maxon PH350 instead.
